Very impressed with the Train atmosphere of the hotel. Buffet was best for food choices and price. On weekends they only raised their price 2 will other's raised their prices by 5 -7. Quality of food was excellent, blueberries & blackberries on breakfast line while others did not ( I tried two other - across the street - Riverboat & Acquiaris (raised their price to cover free beer & wine to 15 while Tropicana stayed at 9) Nice exit out back cross small dirt road to eliminate all the traffic in front (only employees know this until I was told - nice to know - saved 10 minutes getting across bridge to Bullhead or back to airport in LV) well worth the money, updated & modern, gaming was much better here, expecially after 8pm, yes I did try the others and they were tight. Spent 7 nights here, enjoyed hiking in Gravevine Canyon and county park up in Kingman at 7,000 ft elevation. Indian casino downriver was also very good at gaming and there is a bridge across the river there not on any road maps, been there for over 11 years - yes does save time - odd not showing on state maps or local - anyway - 2 for 1 buffets their too. Tropicana has free train rides around comples and well worth doing. Again, I cannot say enough about the food & gaming - have stayed twice at Riverside and once at Acquirais - Tropicana is much better - the old casino across the road - Pioner Casino still has coin type slot machines - old but well built and well worth the walk viewing. hope this helps (again, wait until after 6pm or so to gamble as you can tell when switchs is turned on)

This is a really nice hotel , clean, comfortable, & the entire staff was very accomodating. The price was really reasonable. It is easy to see that "customer service" is important at this hotel. My only negative point would be the cigarette smoke from the bar & casino . Other than that, I would gladly recommend this hotel. Our stay was enjoyed very much.

Room was great, but problems with movie rentals (cable). Engineering staff wasn't much help. Movies would play for about and hour and then shut off. We did get credit for 2 of them, but should have gotten credit for 3.

We had a great time at the Tropicana Express. The renovated rooms are beautiful. The casino is laid out nicely and the slots were nice to us. I wouldn't recommend the buffet, the food was limited and the staff at the buffet had a "I don't care" attitude when I imformed them that there were no more clean dishes in the dessert area. There are better places to eat in Laughlin.

Overall experience with this hotel was bad. We called ahead to let the hotel know that we would be arriving late due to traffic. The lady said that our reservation had been cancelled but she would rebook it, but she had a very bad attitude about it. We paid for a newly renovated room as stated on their website, but we did not get it. We asked for a refund for the difference in room price since we were not given a newly renovated room, but we were given the run around and talked to four different people before they told us they would refund us the difference. And when we checked out they only gave us the discount for one night. The casino is tight and the table games were very limited. We gambled and ate elsewhere and had a much better time. Also the restaurants were priced high for the quality of the food and service. We overheard many people comment on how the hotel has changed since they were bought out and not in a good way. Needless to say we will never return to this hotel.

Location, thats about it. Just about everything else. The hotel needs much help, from housekeeping to customer service. One may say all associates would be better off if there were re-trained.

Check in took over an hour. We were given a room in the back tower. The walls were pink and green, beds very old and uncomfortable. We could hear everyone in the floor entering and leaving their rooms, walking down the halls etc.The entire floor stunk horribly! We had our children with us and requested another room, were told sorry, you got what you booked, no exceptions. It was so bad that we tried to book another room for an additional expense. We wre told sorry no rooms available. Had to pack up our children and move to a better hotel. Yes, it is cheap, but worse than the sleezy hotels you see in the movies! We travel to Laughlin frequently, but will never stay there again.

The swimming pool was shaped like a train. This hotel was pleasant to stay at. The room we stayed in was more modern and up to date. We had a good time and would probably choose to stay at this hotel again.

We stayed here for six nights and it was the most relaxing part of our two week vacation! The room was bright, big, clean. The beds were Sealy Posturpedic beds with down comforters on them. The staff was polite and helpful, we never ran into one cranky or rude staff member. We ate at Passiggio (the Italian restaurant) twice during our stay because the food was so good. We did their breakfast buffet twice. Very reasonable price for the amount of food you can eat! If I had any complaint at all it's that there is no way to get to the hotel rooms without going through cigarette smoke. Our room was a non-smoking room and had no smoky odor at all, but by the time we got to our room, our clothes reeked. I realize this is a hazard of staying at a casino and it was really minor compared to all the great parts about our stay there. We would certainly stay again.
