Check in was smooth and easy. Our room in the north tower was large and certainly clean with wonderful beds. The staff was courteous, and the room was cleaned every day on time. We took in the beach which was just fine. With a few exceptions the dining choices are fantastic. We stayed 5 full days, and even won some money from the many slot machines they have to offer. For Memorial Day Week, this was a great deal. I recommend the Tropicana anytime

Found a very reasonable rate on Orbitz. It is a great value considering the location on the boardwalk and variety of dining and entertainment. Rooms are clean but show obvious signs of wear and disrepair, but the room was better than expected given the rate.

Room was small and the TV was situated in a poor location, but it was clean. We did have trouble with the refridgerator that was not fixed to our satisfaction. We would stay there again.

My friends and I stayed at Tropicana for a weekend getaway. We booked 3 rooms and spent a lot on our stay. The following is what happened and is a completely unacceptable experience for the amount we paid. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. We checked into 2 of our 3 rooms in the afternoon. The third room was checked into during the evening when the rest of our party arrived. When they got to that room, the room was a mess. There were dirty linens all over the place and even more disturbing, there was VOMIT all over the bathroom. It is one thing if the hotel gave us a room they had not cleaned, however the beds had been made meaning they had half-cleaned the room and neglected to do the rest or tell the front desk about it. The front desk told us that we would be switched to another room and that our bags would be moved by the bellman while we were at dinner. That did not happen and when we got back to our room at 3 AM, we had to deal with getting our bags delivered. Then, the next day we went for a nice lunch and walk on the Boardwalk. When we returned to the hotel, not one but TWO of the elevators to the West Tower where we were staying were broken, leaving only two working ones for the entire tower. There was a line of at least 100 people waiting to use the elevators. The Tropicana staff refused to open the service elevators for patron use and there were no stairs to use to walk up to our rooms. So we were forced to waste 45 minutes of our vacation simply to access our rooms. Unacceptable. Worst. Hotel. Ever.

This was a one night getaway for myself and husband. We work 6 days a week and I recenly got a promotion so mY day off now will be diffrent than my husbands. We decided to take our last day off together and go to AC. This first bad thing happened at check in. We asked for a king, but when we got there we wer told they only had doubles.OK, fine I guess, then I asked for out promotional coupon book. We were a couple on a romantic getaway on a budget. They said they had no more, then they said the ones they had were expired and they would have more in at the end of the month?? The main reson I choose this resort was the promotional coupon package. THe staff was so unfriendly and unpersonable. SO we get to out room. We wer edetermined this wasn't going to ruin our one night off. Then the room, Small, very out dated, Bare minumum. Oh and paper thin walls. Could hear everything, and also some weird rumbling sound in the walls ALL DANM NIGHT!. ALl i have to say and save you money, or send a few more dollors and go somewehre better. I was so beyond dissapointed.

I was disappointed with the hotel because it was showing signs of aging in the rooms and there was no way to avoid the loud, obnoxious hotels patrons that yelled and carried on in the hallways throughout the night.

I chose to book this hotel through Orbitz's because of the value and its special offer for a bookletto save on food, entertainment, and shopping. Upon check-in I was told that there are no booklets. I was told it was an offer that the hotel was giving that ended in June. I booked this reservation in July and my stay was in July. I had spoke to two Orbitz representatives that confirmed my reservations and offer. One of the Orbitz representative called the hotel and then instructed me to go to a promotion booth where I could get this promised booklet. After waiting on line for 20 minutes, I was again told there where no booklets. This was a very stressful and time consuming way to start my stay. Aside from thisdisappointment, the hotel has a very nice shopping mall, a variety of restaurants, and IMAX theater and much more BUT...The front desk staff (supervisor included) was rude and unaccommodating. The rooms were fairly clean but the hallways were dirty. There was one small piece of hand soap provided so you may want to bring your own. Also, the room temperature varies dramatically. It gets quite was and if you leave the air on it can get too cold. Keep in mind that the hotel provides only a thin blanket and there are no bedspreads.

Upon arrival, we did not know where to go to park and/or check-in. We could not find anyone to guide us. We pulled into a garage and could not figure out where to park or access the hotel. We attemped to leave the garage, but the non-English speaking booth attendant drove us crazy. Not only could he not help us, he muttered and just repeated what we said, and demanded $5 and a ticket (which we did not have). He finally opened the gate, pehaps afraid of the police sweatshirt I was wearing. I finally called the hotel. After 2 transfers, I spoke with the bell-hop, who instructed us where to go. I was blocks from where we were! When we arrived in the lobby, we were met with a long line and only 1 person at the desk. We waited a long 30 minutes. The clerk requested a credit card, as usual, for any ordered services or charges. When I asked how much money would be held or charged, she answered, "I don't know". Needless to say, I did not hand over my card. We then started what seemed like a 3 mile trek to the hotel elevator....up an escelator, through the casino, through the shops, up an escelator, by some eateries, up an escelator, to the elevator.... The room was clean and OK, but the door was thin and there was not a good "seal". We heard, at 1am, a room service attendant banging and yelling a few doors down, as if he was in our bathroom. Lots of places to eat. Oh, when we pulled into the valet, we almost were hit by a police car trying to pull over a car in front of the lobby....what a trip

We were supposed to get coupons as advertised through Orbitz for a number of discounts at the hotel. They were out of coupons and had not gotten new ones in. This is the only reason we stayed here. 10% off dinner at Red Square would have been great since our bill was over $200 for dinner. Room was dirty, shower hardly worked, alarm clock broken, lamps missing bulbs, shower curtin ripped and hanging half off, window curtins had gross stuff splashed on them, carpet ripping up in corner, hallways littered with garbage.

This hotel was very nice...staff were friendly...room was clean...the shops were convenient and fun to browse thru....Adam Good Deli was our favorite, as they had very reasonably-priced items, and were open from early A.M., until late P.M.. There were occasional hallway noises, and doors opening shutting, but not bad. You all know what I'm talking about. (NOTE: If there are any inventors / entrepeneurs out there who can invent a SILENT DOOR-CLOSING system, you will make MILLIONS !!!!!...)

Hotel decor was lovely. Enjoyed the tropical feel of the place as well as its location on the boardwalk. Would recommend to anyone. Would like to see a nightclub there with dancing for younger people under 21. I brought my granddaughter who is 19 and she was a little bored.

While the room was very spacious with a comfortable bed and nice sunset view, the location to the gym (extra fee for use) and pool (nothing fancy) was inconvienent. The staff was not helpful and was curt-no explanation of the diamond club (tracks your gaming) and not a good parking experience. The casino was fine but we would stay someplace else next time.

2nd trip to tropicana in 6 months and again everything went smoothly. check-in was a breeze- no line- no hassle (it was january and the place was empty) i was in the north tower (the original tower) and like the west tower the room was big enough and more importantly clean. the beds are fabulous. there was a fridge in the cabinet as well as coffee. the room was made up quickly. the coffee shop food was good and the service was far better than the last time. in the wintertime location is an issue since its too cold to walk to other hotels on the boardwalk, but we valet our car and it was delivered quickly (no charge to hotel guests). i still dont underatand why there is no security at the elevators to check keys. all in all though tropicana has it all for an incredibly low price

Drop off your luggage and companion first at registration, then park. Note your lot and location in writing. Registration was smooth, tho no freebies for us. Walked 15 minutes to our room on 6th floor of north tower (had a view of our car - but it still took 20 minutes to get to it). Room decent with a comfortable chair, average hotel size, cracked granite sink. Heavy metal doors banged most of the night. Check out Italian restaurant and Lennox 3 blocks from from hotel on Baltic great for B,L, and D - 60% off hotel prices. If you can play poker for 4 hours, reserve your room thru the poker room and get it cheaper. Newbies should get a loyalty card and we received $10 for gambling and free {$5} parking. We lost our car in the parking lot (30 feet from the entrace ) and security eventully helped us find it - 45 minutes. A decent value for the money.

This was our first Atlantic City vacation. We will probably stay at another hotel the next time we come, but it was a great value for the money and I would definitely recommend it for those who want to "get their feet wet" in Atlantic City.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly, but the restaurant options were limited - one had two choices of either eating at an overpriced restaurant or eating at a below average restaurant. There was nothing like a good value restaurant which was disappointing. Also the waiters would not give us time to read our menus and one of them at the Palm restaurant even offered us to leave if we thought we could not afford the meal, which was highly insulting since we were taking our time trying to decide what wine to order. Also internet cost $10 for 24 hours and it was so slow that the show we were trying to watch online rebooted every 3 minutes because the connection kept stalling. The rooms do not have a coffee maker, which I found quite odd.
