Tredethy House is a beautiful, peaceful and informally elegant English Country House set in and area of outstanding beauty. Built in Tudor times and later extended, it has been the unique home of many British families and of Prince Chula of Thailand until the late sixties. A delightful and unique holiday spot today, Tredethy offers privacy and the blissful peace of the countryside whatever the season and is yet at easy reach of the North and South Coast as well as the many places of interest such as the Eden Project and the divine National Trust Houses and Gardens of Cornwall. The seven acres of grounds at Tredethy are themselves a piece of history, with many old trees and plants and some of the most beautiful Hydrangeas and Rhododendrons. March hosts hundreds of narcissus, April is time for the breathtaking display of bluebells, followed by wild garlic and blue and pink wildflowers. Autumn is a fantastic season, full of colour and peace, and lots of anticipation for the festive season we all look forward to every year.

Great ExperienceMichael is a fantastic host, attentive and professional, Amber (a staff member) was not afraid to show her personality, fantastic. Michael is the chef extraordinaire and passionate about his B&B. We had a castle stay in Ireland the previous week, this was sooo much better.

preeceI liked accommodation but was disappointed to find whilst advertised as B&B you have to pay for cooked breakfast if I had known that I would have gone elsewhere.

Suitably off the beaten track, but also well located. The house is hospitable and informal whilst retaining it's charm and history. We arrived early, were welcomed warmly and allowed to check in with a choice of rooms which were both excellent. The Italian owners are very friendly and the staff were excellent. We plan on visiting again in the future and I wish every success on Marco and his family!

The house was beautifully decorated with fantastically detailed touches (including fresh flowers in every room). Lovely views of a Cornish valley and very peaceful. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a retreat away from the city. Food was also excellent and very reasonably priced.

Wonderful! Looks recently rennovated inside and set in beautiful grounds. Staff were extremely welcoming and professional. Breakfast was delicious and prepared with care and attention.

A lovely out of the way hotel run on a friendly basis by Christina and her husband (both Italian) who have only been running it since March of this year. Peaceful, relaxing and with a definite aura of a house that has been lived in and loved. The room was perfect with a large bath and walk in shower and the breakfast was large enough to see you through the rest of the day! The swimming pool is out of commission and (quite rightly) will probably be filled in as it is in such a bad state of repair from neglect to become perhaps a tennis court but don't let this put you off visiting this serenely peaceful place.

New owners and new eveing meal service. Owners moving towards organic & eco-friendly. Some way to go before everything perfect, but owners were friendly and helpful. Food was excellent and good value. Wine list minimal, but good and inexpensive. Hotel and setting very nice, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Could probably do with some more staff, but this is early days. Would return without hesitation.

The room provided was very small and hardly adequate for a couple. We had to up-grade as a result. The second room overlooking the fireescape wasn't much better. The curtain in the bathroom was stuck up with bluetac. We left after one night despite palnning to stay for two. Awful.
