I had read the reviews so tried not to be picky I think the staff were very good my ocean view room was fabulous I think you have to give and take with hotels the ladies cleaning my room were polite and diligent one was from Haiti hope it was ok with her relatives I am back again in February so looking forward to that I know sobe is the place for most people who come here but Sunny Isles is a nice place too there is a great french restaurant a short distance away and in all the shops I went in people were nice in London some staff don't even look at you when their taking your money overall really a lovely stay.Jeff

Nothing at all. We received a room that smelled really bad with cigarettes.

This hotel stay was a complete nightmare. Hotel did not have the ammenties listed. Hotel Manager was not attentive, lacked customer service skills. The hotel needs overall improvement. Hotel rooms were not cleaned; room and bathroom had rust and mildew. Children's pool not operable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Location is great, building is very sad, the most modest or if we can call it the worst in the block among all those great tall nice buildings around. But we have roof on our head and that's about all. Phone is not working and have to get someone to make sure the aircondition is on since the room is quit hot and the rolling bed won't stay still even though you put the lock on, so you can end up at the other end of the wall by the time you get up in the morning. I saw the nextdoor customer have to have a portable fan in their room with their door wide open at night if you want your room cooler. They could remodel at the least to match with the area. Parking is terrible, $8.00 per day on double parking, so we have to leave the car key at the front desk so that they can let the car in front out if you happen to park behind someone. Just a money making deal. They don't have private temperature control in each room, some days were very hot and if you want to get some fresh air and leave the door open than you just have to deal with bugs, your choice.... Not too great deal for the price you pay you would expect nicer accomodation. I just wish I went with other travel company instead to get a better deal. Live and learn.

There was not one thing we liked. Everything. I would not recommend the room we had to my worst enemy. I don't think a homeless person would stay there.

It is hard to find a fairly inexpensive hotel near South Beach. The Travelodge Monaco is such a place. The place was probably built in the 60's or 70's and has not been updated for quite awhile. However, the room was clean and it is on the beach. We would go back.

Its location and amenities. Too much smoking around rooms. Good location, friendly helpful staff but the rooms need a facelift.

While the location is quite convenient and the price very attractive, the motel is more than 30 years behind the times. Very old building that hasn't seen any renovation or updating for decades. Centralized air conditioning means no control over your room's temperature. A parking system that requires you to double-park and turn your keys over to the front desk -- and they still charge you $8 a day for parking. Wireless Internet worked briefly, then not at all. Decor is very 1970s, rooms are tiny, carpet is old and dirty, furniture outdated, walls thin as paper (it sounded like the neighbors were moving the furniture to suit them), and strange people seemed to wander the grounds and we weren't sure if they were guests or not. You obviously get what you pay for, so pay the very low rates at your own risk.

the rooms were dirty or appeared dirty because of the age of everything. the bathroom was a disaster - tub too dirty to be used as a shower for a bath. the staff gave the impression they wished they were not there. no pleasentries. the parking was awful - had to wait for a valet each time we came and went and they double parked everyone and then took a long time to figure out whose car was behind us. my home would never look so dingy. the mattress was lumpy and unconfortable.

Location, right on the beach. Small room-bad bed. Located in an upscale section of Miami Beach. Close to everything you need- nice beach area out the back door. We plan to return in the spring

The bathroom was dirty, there were strands of hair on the bathtub, the pillows smell awful (smells like it hasn't been washed) there was central air, and it was uncomfortably warm all night. When I complained and called the front desk, the hotel staff told us that it was already at its max, couldnt do anything. I mean you are in Miami, Florida where the heat is brutal, imagine a room with a hotel management- controlled air. The only nice thing about this place is its location but I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Very nice. No wireless internet access. I really enjoyed it. The pool and access to ocean were great. Many nearby stores, restaurants and activities.

There were a lot of people smoking saying badwords, tattos.I rented for 2 nights and left after one night. The couple beside me kept fighting and the lady kept cursing and cursing until about 3 am.The air didnt work that good and you couldnt adjust it. It was adjusted at the front desk. The parking was a nightmare and the pool is the nastiest i have ever seen at a hotel.I have two little girls that love the pool and i didnt let them go in it. There were people borrowing fans for the rooms because of the air.

Cheap price, with helpful staff & it is beachfront. Shabby looking, but I've seen worse (cuz I'm cheap). To clarify a bit-it is clean, but just in need of renovation. I would consider staying here again. It is old & physically not well maintained. But the price is good, staff is helpful & it is right on the beach. And is conveniently located between Miami & Ft Lauderdale, with a good public bus system within 100 yds.

The Travelodge Monaco N Miami And Sunny Isles Beach was a bargain for the price. The front office went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. It was an older hotel but everything was in working order. The beach access was wonderful. The restaurant left a little to be desired and we had to go across the street to get bottled water but it was a minor inconvenience. My daughter became ill and they without hesitation gave us a late checkout time and helped us in to the waiting taxi. Restaurants are in walking distance which helped with the food choices.

Swimming pool. Bath room. Too far from airport. Hotel has not airport transportation from airport.
