The picture on the travel site does not do this place justice. The hotel on the inside has a nice layout. There is also a lounge that is a nice size, along with a restaurant and a nice courtyard where the pool is. The rooms have wireless capability which is good because some places charge you a fee. The staff is also very friendly.

Liked the parking was close to entrance and the entrance to your room was inside. Very noisy bar area and the smell of cigarette smoke was very strong in the lobby area and stairwell. Was clean and staff fairly helpful. Beds comfortable.

We stayed at this hotel because it was cheaper to stay outside of Galveston on Saturday night. The staff was courteous, and the hotel was decently clean. The rooms could use an update, especially the bathtubs (our was cracked). The pool area is gorgeous, and my fiance was impressed with the bar in the lounge. My main "gripe" was the needed updates and the breakfast. The food provided was adequate, but there was nothing hot provided - not even make it yourself waffles. Overall, our stay was nice and defintely a cheaper alternative than paying through the nose in Galveston proper.

The front desk employee was friendly and helpful. The pool was not really deep enough for my 16 yr. old. The overall hotel experience was wonderful. The breakfast choices adequate for a continental breakfast. The breakfast area was neat and clean. I felt really safe in this hotel.

Room was nice and location was great. Had a bar. There were quite a few drunks wandering the halls. Not good for kids. This hotel was in an excellent location for our vacation needs. The breakfast was great. The pool area was lovely. The only downfall was that there is a bar in the hotel and there were quite a few overly intoxicated people wandering around the halls after about 9 or 10 in the evening. when the bar closed it got a little loud with them yelling, whooping and hollering and slamming doors. That lasted every night for about 45 minutes.

Very reasonable price if you don't go through an online agent, and 8 minutes from the outside of Galveston. Old but clean, there are good beds, and breakfast included. And VERY easy access from I-45. We'll stay again.

room was clean and comfortable. Galveston (Moody Gardens, Schlitterbaun) was only 15 quick minutes away. Perfect place to stay for the price.

It was a really nice trip home, and the hotel experience was a treat; very enjoyable, not like most hotels I've stayed at in the area.

The rooms were clean. Two rooms near mine were used as public toilets while regular one were repaired. Overall the hotel was a reasonably good value. The continental breakfast had a fairly good selection. The beds were a little uncomfortable, but not so bad as to greatly affect sleep. Would stay again.

This room was nasty. It smelled terrible, the floors were sticky, there was no hot water and the water pressure in the shower was very low. There was a dead roach in the hallway. We were scheduled to stay three nights and eagarly checked out after one. We had to put dryer sheets in the a/c just to be able to stay in the room.

Good overall. What I expected for the money. Not bad for a couple nights stay. Room was large and had micro, coffee maker and fridge. Free breakfast in the morning and good pool and hot tub. Between HOU and Galveston Bay so your right in the middle to many attractions

They let us in early to freshen up for a wedding shower. People who were at the dog races let their children run free all over the hotel. They might need a security person to roam the halls at night when adults leave their children alone at the hotel to keep them in their rooms and not out roaming the halls being loud til after midnight.

I had a good stay, loved the pool it had a kid's pool for my 6yr were I didn't have to worry about him get into the deep part of the pool.

Staff was friendly. No extra blankets, pillows or towels. The hotel was easy to get to from Galveston, but the pool was dirt and the pool lights were not working. The tub was dirty and would not hold water for the littles ones to get a bath. The hotel did not have extra blankets or pillows. The breakfast was poorly set up. Poeple were standing around waiting to use toasters and to get ceral also juices.

The hotel did not have our rooms ready for our check in. It was 10pm when we arrived at the hotel and they were cleaning the room at thet time. When we requested additional towels the front desks response was that they did not have any additional towels. Also, our rooms were not made up during our stay. We were highly disatisfied with our stay. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. Would like to have had a restaurant on site. The stay was very pleasant. I will definitely return.

It was an average room. It was clean but nothing spectacular. The continental breakfast was disappointing, not much to choose from if your not there as soon as it starts.

Fantastic outdoor pool in secure area. Somewhat dingy carpet, smoke smell, lamp didn't work, etc. Club staff did not cater to travelers. Front desk staff appeared to be mad at life (or their career choice).
