It was reasonablely clean, quiet place. Good place to stop on the way to the Yosemite Valley.

The staff was always ready to please. Also I liked the USA Today which was free with the stay. No frills, but decent for a business stay.

What was good: Inexpensive, room was quiet, room heater works well. Not so good: 1st thing I noticed when I opened the door was a 4 inch hole in the middle of the bed cover. Not a great impression. Took about 10 minutes to wake up the desk clerk who was sleeping in the back office (at 4:00 PM). The ceiling light/fan fixture would constantly blink due to a loose lamp socket. The metal strike plate on the door jamb was missing, the only thing keeping the door locked was the wood door jamb. Could't get an outside line on the phone to make a call, and I discovered that if I wasn't careful, the bathroom sink faucet would flood the vanity counter top. Not really as bad as it sounds, just a lot a little things that should be addressed by the owners.

Rooms are rather small, but spotless and quiet and well equipped. The staff is wonderful. It is a bit hard to find - follow 16th street (rt 140) to the end and bear left just before the 99 freeway entrance. Hotel is located on the 140 (Yosemite parkway) road to Yosemite. Merced is a bit farther away then Mariposa, but it's such a great value it makes the extra 30 minute drive well worth while!

Queen beds were comfortable. Coffee ran out breakfast not worth getting up for. This hotel told me they would have to charge me extra for two beds but in the end did not. The queen beds seemed newer and comfortable but the pillows hard the towels really scratchy and the breakfast sub par. Also you could hear every noise around the hotel.

This is a really great location to stay while visiting the Merced area. The hotel is located away from the freeway, so it is really nice and quiet. There is ample parking and it is really easy for both larger and small vehicles to park. The room was very nice and it had a nice little kitchenette. The room had a fridge, microwave, sink and an area to store food. The bed was extremely comfortable and the staff was wonderful. I highly recommend this location and I would absolutely stay here again.

The hotel staff were very pleasant. Did have a minor problem the TV stopped working, But with out any problem they moved me to another room. Very good value for the money in a quite neghborhood, would stay there again.

I did not like anything about this hotel! It was the worst hotel I ever stayed at. Dirty room, pool and parking lot, in a gang infested neighborhood, had to buy blankets theirs were disgusting. NA.

Although this is an "older" hotel, I found it very clean and friendly. The front desk was extremely helpful, and they had muffins and coffee available early morning. It was perfect for families or individuals who need a good clean place to stay. It was a little off the "motel" route, but that was just fine.

Good parking space. NA. The hotel reception clerk asked me to pay extra $11 for my daughter. He said that the room is only good for one person so I pay.

Nice place with good staff who were helpful. The parking lot is small, but it felt safe and was clean. The rooms were good - the beds a little hard for my taste, but the kids seemed to enjoy them. We got in too late to use the pool, but it looked nice. The room was large and clean. When we checked out in the morning, there was a continental breakfast. The staff even went out of their way to get us more bananas, which we all appreciated.

"I am really impressed!!! I stayed here about 3 years ago, and so many things have changed. The doors used to be green not they are brown. Looked like the whole motel was painted. I came here with my family of 8, and the joining room was really comfortable. Even though we checked in late at night, the staff was really helpful. The room was really clean, but they just needed more towels in the room. That didnt bother us because we had our own. The TV has a lot of channels, and the pool was really nice, the kids loved it. I would recommend this place to everyone."

I can not think of any thing in that regard since it was the worst part of my trip. Not clean, room location close to vending machines, noisy environment, in-room coffee packages too old. The room looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly after it had been use previously, and we had to leave the door open almost all the time because of the terrible unusual smell inside the room. It was almost impossible to sleep that night because of the outside noises coming from upstairs and the adjacent room, plus the vending machine and ice maker right under our window. Breakfast was the most terrible. The orange juice was diluted with water and the muffins were out of their original packaging and were cut in half. It was the worst night of my two weeks road trip vacation with my wife.

"The parking lot was a little small, but its ok, that didn't bother me much at all. The rooms were nice. I stayed there with my family and they loved it. The staff were friendly, and pretty funny too. Nice stay over all, will be a returning costumer for sure."

Price. Room was so small. 50's style room was small, Walls needed repair. Yet all the comforts I like were there hair dryer, coffee maker, TV, Air, even a safe.

The cable had plenty of channels. The price was the same as regular price, the customer service left us waiting at the front desk longer then ten minutes,. My wife was not at all pleased.
