I reserved room because of low cost, so my expectations were not high. However the shower barley worked. Just a dribble of lukewarm water. Not very inviting in the middle of the winter. Also the heat controls did not work. Basically heat was either off or on, so it was either too hot or too cold. Also noise from the other rooms was eccessive. Next time I'll spend a little more. There was no restaurant that was open.

I went to the Jersey Shore to attend a friend's wedding. Since I don't have a car I got to this Travelodge using trains and cabs. I was supposed to go with a friend who dropped out at the last minute. If she was with me she probably would've complained about how small and cramped everything is--my bedroom at home has more space. Traveling alone, however, I was comfortable, taking advantage of their (admittedly one-person) shower, their choice of cable channels and their continental breakfast. I would've taken advantage of their swimming pool for a morning swim, but I had to get going to the train. The management was courteous--they let me in my room before the offical 3:00 check-in time. Minor gripe: the nearest restaurant is a healthy walk away.

Clean; very comfortable beds. Needs some more modernizing, painting & caulking to clean things up. Rooms were quite small, but clean & comfortable beds. Room needed some freshening up with paint, caulking in bathroom for a cleaner look & replacement of old blinds. New carpet, fresh clean linens, fridge & 1.5 mile drive to family friendly free street parking.

It was close enough to point and other shop. It was not cleaned very well, a little moldy smell. We needed a place to stay for the night and it was convenient and comfortable.

We chose the Travelodge based on price. Arriving at 11PM on a Fri, the desk clerk was cordial. Our room felt damp; there was water on all the windowsills and condensation of the windows. We aired out the room and things improved slightly. The next day we asked for a room change that was accommodated; the new room was better but still damp. Every window on the "shady" side of the complex showed condensation in the morning. My allergies to both mold and mildew kicked in. People with asthma or respiratory problems should avoid this motel. My next comment will go to management and the Board of Health.

Location and comfortable. Bed wastoo soft. It was ok, it just expected a little more in Spring Lake. But, overall it was good.

The reasonable price is why my husband and I chose Travelodge for our next stay. But it turned into a very disappointing visit in Spring Lake. The hotel room smelled horrible. There were cigarette burn holes on the bed sheets. The bath tub was coated in sand residue. Last but surely not least; THERE WAS BLOOD SPLATTER IN THE BATHROOM!!! The condition of the room was ENTIRELY unacceptable, and the manager wanted to accomadate us by moving us to another room and giving us * off. Another room? Are you crazy?

Location. Breakfast was bad. Over all the hotel was not bad for the rating that it has. Will stay again but not with children.

I was shocked how nice this place was for the price

Continental breakfast. Maid service. The hotel was fine as long as you don't expect anyone to clean up after you or provide fresh towels.

"The day I was to check out (11/24/06) there was no hot water for a shower from 6:30am until after 8:00am. I could not stay until the hot water came back on because of my committments to return to Chicago. The complimentary breakfast bar was very skimpy, no bread, english muffins, rolls or buns, just bagels. Also they did not offer any fresh fruit besides bananas, and they did not offer any yogurt or instant hot cereals like oatmeal. You get what you pay for!!"

"we checked in and were told the pool would be open the next day. the pool was not open the next day. when asked if the kids could use the pool, we were told they could go in pool area but not the water!! the air conditioner stunk like mold and bothered my allergies. the cont. breakfast was stale. room was clean w/ new mattresses. desk person let us cancel the rest of our reserv. as pool not opened as promised the next day. also not comfy w/ personal info--cr. card and dr. lic-being photocopied for check in ."

Friendly staff. Good continental breakfast. Received stained towels. This hotel suited my needs well. It was easy to find and I felt quite safe. There was plenty of restaurants/shopping near this restaurant. The room had 2 double beds and would be fine for only 2 people, but a family of four might feel cramped.

Convenient location, clean, easy to park. Had to go to office for ice and couldnt get after hours. Older motel that is being kept in reasonably good condition. The ice machine was in the lobby and not accessible after 10 p.m.

The pool & breakfast. Small rooms. The hotel was okay but it was very small for the amount of money. The location wasn't too far from beach area.
