TV played well. Multiple request for towels before getting assistance. Also the staff did not speak in English. As soon as car left the hotel, someone came into the room to look around but did not bring any cleaning supplies or vacuum. My mother witnessed this twice when she was left behind in the room and everyone else had left.

I would not recomment anyone to stay at this hotel. Normally I never write reviews for a hotel that I have stayed in, but I thought that I should at least help someone not make the same mistake I made. I am familiar with Santee because my parents are from there so it was no surprise that the hotel was so small and outdated. However when we arrived to check in late from a long drive from DC (448 miles) the attendant informed me that she had given my room away because she thought I had cancelled. She gave me a room and told me that if I was not pleased to come back in the morning to swap it out (in which she did). The room was in terrible condition, the floors in the bathroom where flithy and the room smellled like smoke. The heating and air unit was really noisey and only because I was exhausted after my dirve that I was able to fall asleep without hearing that it was so loud. Also the attendant seem to have lost my reservation upon arrival and I had to call the on line travel website and spend an additional 20 min on the phone with them to confim that the room was actually paid for. I just would never stay at another Travelodge again...not even if it was free.

My family and I had the opportunity to visit Santee for a family reunion and stayed at Travelodge for two nights. The first time we opened the door to the room there was a smokey smell to it. The linens looked clean and all but they smelt like someone was smoking heavily in there. I thought that we were placed in a smoking room by mistake, but when I spoke to the manager on duty, he informed me that it's nonsmoking. Anyway, I caught one of the ladies that cleaned the rooms and complained about the smell. She promised to take care of it which I can say she did. The room smelt a little better after, but we still had to spray odor eliminator too

They accepted pets with no problems. Nice little place convenient to everything. Price was right. No problems accepting our pets. This is a must for us when traveling. We like taking our pets with us when we travel and they like going along with us rather than staying in a kennel. Won't put them in one would rather stay home than do that!

Location. Filthy room, torn sheets, drug dealer hanging out in parking lot and overpriced. The hotel desk clerk told me the nightly rate. And I had all ready paid. The hotel was listed as two stars on it and was a one star or less if that is possible.

The Person who checked us in, a VERY nice young Lady. While the Hotel was very clean it could use a maintenance man on duty. Over all, a very nice place to stay. Close to Dining and other things. It being near a lake and in a good central location, makes it a good place to stay.
