Poor Maintenance, Broken Furniture, Tv was not working had to be relocated to another room. Second room Tv was snowing had to call to get repaired. Refrigerator needed to be defrosted to remove ice build up.

Close to the race track. It is a rat hole. This place is likedoo doo on your shoe. It is run down and scary. I only stayed there a few hours after the nascar race. Pay the extra money its well worth it. That place should not charge more than 30 bucks. All the hotels raise the rates on race weekend so you are gonna get reamed anywhere that weekend.

our mattresses had BED BUGS, that's not the bad part thed bad part is they new they had a problem in a room next door which had a ajoinning door and they only fumigated that room , everyone had bites on their legs. the manager on statt was nice and couldn't appologize more, but the owner had amneisa when i asked about the infestation.

The hotel had no long distance telephone service and when I offered to pay in advance for the call, one of the night personal told me to check-in and he would arrange for me to call my wife to let her know I had arrived. When I called the same front desk from my room, I was told there is no long distance service available. The location of the travelodge was very troubling in that there was a lot of shady characters around the hotel, and so, I never felt safe to leave my hotel room to find a pay phone. It seems that this travelodge offered long-term lodging for these people. I choose this hotel, but I will never go back there on my next trip which should be in October of this year.

Breakfast area was clean. Wireless internet did not work. TV was broken. Hotel lobby was clean, staff was all friendly and courteous. I had problems connecting to the wireless internet in the room. TV did not work. Maintenance man brought a replacement to the room.

We were not impressed with our room at Travelodge, the light switch in the bathroom worked at random, we had lukewarm water, the TV kept fading in and out. We had four registered guests and only two towels. The room itself seemed very dingy.

Relatively easy access. Bathroom and fixtures not very clean or tidy, seemed older and impossible to clean up.? It would need major refurbishing to become a 3 star, but it did seem fairly clean. We did find a wasp inside the drapes near the front door, otherwise no bugs seen.

Absolutely nothing! Didn't even check in unkempt and unsafe. Still waiting response for refund. Everything. I have pictures. After viewing these pictures I do not see how you would be able to recommend this "hotel" in good conscience, but then again you might have customers to whom the possibility of robbery rape and murder might seem appealing.

The air conditioner worked. We did not get the room we reserved, the neighborhood was shaky and the help did not speak English or know what to do when we arrived.

I stayed at the motel on business,it was terrible. This hotel is more of a transient hotel! I returned from my business after 10:PM,folks were hanging out on the balconies,loud,and I did not feel safe.The room was clean,however the water dripped from the tub all night,the sink needed major plumbing! The room had a musty odor. This is not a place if you desire to feel safe.The staff was professional,and helpful,yet I would not stay here again.It is way over-priced for the apperance,and safety.

We booked the stay in the Richmond Travelodge based on the reputation, NASCAR sponsorship and promotion, and the Travelodge web-site pictures and descriptions. The weekend rate was $*per room for two nights each. Nothing was as it appeared on the website. The rooms were moldy and musty and dirty. The bathrooms were in horrible condition. Because of the NASCAR event, there were no available rooms at any other regional hotels. We were without options. We stayed the first night out of sheer necessity only. Instead of staying a second night - another miserable night in the rooms, we chose to travel 2-1/2 hours to a friends house and clean rooms - we drove until 4:00 a.m. instead of staying another night at the Travelodge. NASCAR fans - Don't do it! Anyone, don't do it! I would give this property a ZERO rating if I could!

We stayed at this hotel, due to the fact it was 2 miles from the race track and a good price. We read the reviews, but thought didn't know if we could believe them. The hotel is located in a very poor area. It is very run down, only about 1/4 of the rooms are probably rented, the pool is nasty, there were cigarette burns in the blankets, TV is blurry, (even after we asked them to fix it), pillows are lumpy, but it seemed clean, just very run down. As I sit in the lobby I listen to the clerks trying to figure out which rooms are they are able to utilize. Someone just came in and said their room has a large hole in it. I don't think I would stay here again. People did seem friendly though.

This hotel should be removed fromyour list. The neighborhood was scary. The hotel was rundown and poorly kept. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. After viewing the exterior of the hotel, I called online travel website to express my dissatisfaction. I cancelled my reservation. I drove around Richmond,VA and came upon the visitor's center. They recommended a nice hotel. Everyone, stay at the DAYS INN. aviod the TRAVELODGE at all costs.

"I just returned from a three night stay at Travelodge in Richmond, Va. The front desk staff were completely professional and went out of their way to insure my stay was enjoyable. The management saw to my every need including free local calls and internet service. The rooms were large and spotless. The hotel security was far better than many places I have stayed and that for me is a great plus. If you find yourself in Richmond, Va. I completely recommend this location. "

"No towels during the day. TV was blurry. Bathtub floor was spongy. Bathroom needs total remodeling. There was pee on the tiolet seat when we returned to our room. The pool was closed all weekend. Breakfast was stale, coffee is horrible."

This hotel was convenient to the expressway. The beds did not have mattress pads and the matresses were stained. The bathroom was deplorable.It was too late to find another facility.

"Caution: Hotel is in run down part of town. A reputable service person leaving the hotel told us it was an unsafe place to stay. Part of the hotel is vacant and is labeled ""For Rent"". There were no other cars in the parking lot on a summer weekend night. Questionable local characters were trying to reserve a room by paying cash. I DO NOT recommend this hotel."
