The Rawlins Travelodge left something to be desired. It is the most reasonably priced motel in Rawlins, but had some issues with torn sheets, stained Towels and toilets that were not bolted to the floor but rocked when we sat down.
Date of Stay:
September, 2008
It had beds. Old decor, pressure washer shower head. The interior was dingy, and the shower head could double as a pressure washer. We didn't allow our children to shower as we thought it might hurt them. The so called breakfast consisted of donuts from a convenience store, toast, and milk. The local KOA has better accomodations. If all you need is a bed, sleep in your car.

The beds are terrible! We stayed 4 nights and I used my soaps the first night and they never were replenished. I gave 24+ hrs notice that we would be checking out of our 2 rooms a day early but they would not reimburse me for the unused nights. Not quite price gouging like the other reviews said, but unethical! Average breakfast.

Dirty, rundown. Dirty rundown, unfriendly charged twice for same thing. Very rundown, very dirty, owner charged us twice.

Roads were closed due to snow. We were charged $230.00 when reg. rate is $79.99. Room was filthy and the manager was of no help. Would not do anything about the room or the price. Complaints have been filed

Pet friendly. Seemed old and run down. Desk clerk hard to understand. The best I can say, considering the weather was bad, at least it was a roof over our heads and a place to stay. Seemed old and run down. Needed to have updates as stains, cracks, worn fixtures evident. Did have pets so maybe that is why given the "dungeon" room and it was a "forced stay" as the interstate was shut down due to the weather.

Interstate 80 was closed due to poor weather conditions. We stopped in at the Travelodge after 2 other tries at area hotels were unsuccessfull. The regular rate for the Travelodge is $79.99 plus taxes. We were charged $230.00 plus taxes. Travelodge advertises that children stay for free. They did not honor this as we were told it didn't matter in this instance. We stayed the night in a dirty and moldy Travelodge hotel room which had stained towels, stained comforter, and a coffee pot which produced chunks of silt and pepples when water was run through it. The shower had mold in the upper corners and the shower head leaked spraying water straight up in the air. After our night of unrest, I called the national Travelodge reservation number and inquired as to their rate in Rawlins, WY. I was told it would be $79.99 plus taxes for a family of 5. I was outraged. I went to the front desk to complain about the price, quality, and cleanliness. I was told there is nothing they could do about the price because of simple supply and demand. The manager didn't even care about the room condition and just kept telling me that there is nothing they could do. I WOULD NEVER EVER STAY IN A TRAVELODGE AGAIN. BEWARE OF PRICE FIXING!! THIS WAS THE WORST STAY I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!!!!!

nothing. Stinks, dirty, boarded up scary part of town. Pool filled with cement, mattresses laying outside. Never under any circumstances stay at this hotel. We left even though we had to pay. We drove until 1 am to reach the next town instead. Broken jagged toilet back. Cement filled pool, mattresses outside laying around. Do not book this hotel.

Honestly, I think I would continue driving to the next town and not stay in this town period. This hotel itself was not good at all for the money we paid. The toilet was not bolted down so it rocked when you sat down. The walls are very thin so you can hear every door slamming all night long. You can also hear if the next door neighbors are having "fun" in the middle of the night. The room we were given had a connecting door to the next room. The deadbolt lock did not work! It wasn't lined up right so we couldn't lock it. The only thing that kept me there was that there was no door knob on the neighbor's side so it would be impossible for them to open up into your room as long as it is latched. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were flat as pancakes. Breakfast was muffins and toast. The entire hotel had a strange smell. I would not stay here again.

In room coffee pot, easy to locate. Cold lobby, crumby tables, not much of a continental breakfast. Overall the stay was alright. There did not seem to be someone at the desk at all times, however the phone was answered and they were friendly. There was some sort of smell also, food mixed with smoke. The rooms were clean and warm, but the lobby was freezing.

"Room was bare and sterile, but clean. Had fridge and microwave. Much nicer than dirty Super 8 down the block. Front desk attendant was friendly. Cont. breakfast consisted of choice of 2 muffins and coffee."

They accepted pets. Was very poorly maintained. Would not stay here again if I could avoid it.
