Okay, the guy who wrote an anonymous review and criticized this place...and told you not to believe all the other reviews??? Come on... notice something about the other reviews... like mine? WE PUT OUR NAMES!! This place is great!! The staff are friendly, welcoming, and they bend over backwards to help you with whatever you need. The breakfast is great... not your typical contintental fare, but includes such goodies as sausage, egg and cheese biscuits. The rooms are clean, comfy, and have such conveniences as microwave ovens, irons, ironing boards, in-room safe, blow dryer, refridgerator, free wifi. And the hotel is near to many major attractions like John Pennekamp State Park, BIscayne State Park, Miami Seaquarium, etc. The pool is lovely and well maintained. Anyway... poo-poo on the guy who wouldn't even put his name on his rude and wrong review... my best friend and I stayed here during our vacation and we both give it a big thumbs up. In fact, we actually stayed here three times in three different rooms and we can say that all three rooms were great. All were clean, all were comfortable, none smelled, none were a problem, and all were non-smoking. Hope this review helps you! I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends and family!!!

We used Travelodge for a stop over to Key West. Excellent service from the staff. The rooms were clean and the grounds were well maintained and it's right on Rt1. The breakfast could have had more of a selection but it was good. It was a great all around experience for us.

I recently made a trip to Key west. Since i had planned to be in and out of key west in a day, i chose this hotel as it is just on the way out of the keys. I went for the reviews - since all other reviews had pretty high rating i booked this place Check in was fine, we went to the room. It seemed old and smelled weird and stale. The sheets were old and not soft. The comforters/blankets felt and smelled dusty and old. The towels in the bath were also worn out but clean. The selection of soaps and shampoos were terrible. Breakfast was a nightmare. Some of the reviews said breakfast was great with waffles. The waffles are soggy frozen ones. None of the breads seemed fresh. The hard boiled eggs seemed stale and didnt taste right. The bagel/muffins were also old. Avoid this hotel at all costs. There was a comfort inn 2 buildings away. Go there, it may be better. Seems like most of the reviews were written by hotel employees or management themselves. Also, though we did not have a problem with security, the hotel is very spread out and security could be an issue.

This was one of the nicest hotels we stayed in in Florida. Clean, spacious, well kept. Their continental breakfast had a huge assortment of food! Not the usual plastic bagel and muffin. The pool area was very nice as well.

We used the Travelodge to drive to the Everglades, visit Homestead and Florida City and move on to Key West. I must admit we were very impressed with this "budget motel". It was very clean and the attention to detail with the landscaping and maintenance were top shelf. We have paid tons more money in other parts of Florida only to be disgusted with the filth you have to endure. For the money this place was awesome; I only wish they had public access to the internet. I understand they are wireless, buy we don't carry a laptop on vacation with us. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast that was included had a large selection of food, the best selection we've gotten compared to anywhere else in Florida. It was plenty to fill us. It's more than just a continental breakfast. In other places we've only been able to get a small danish or muffin and a tiny juice, but here you get cereals, toast, fruit, bagels, muffins, eggs, juices, coffee, etc. We would definitely use the Travelodge again.
