For the price and location, there could not have been anything better!..The fact that the hotel in non smoking was a great bonus. The only drawback was that you could hear the EL right outside of your window. Everthing we needed was within walking distance. The taste fest, shopping, restaurants. Downtown CHicago has everything.

Hotel room was teeny tiny! More like a closet than a hotel.

None of the other hotels were available so I decided to give this one a try. I read the reviews but thought maybe some people may have exaggerated, they didn't. I do travel often enough to have been in some really nice hotels but this one was my worse. I have been in motels that were better. I think they need to work on updating everything. The bathroom was the only thing that looked nice. The rest of the room looked like an old studio apartment. The furniture was old and the upholstered chair arms looked like a dog had chewed on it.The carpet felt very dirty like it left a film on my feet.If you looked out of the window of our room you only saw the fire escape. If you like nice up to date hotels don't go here you will be very disappointed. I think i have pretty nice taste and I was so disappointed in my decision to stay here. For a night I could of went somewhere else.

when staff in lobby, they're helpful/friendly.when a room is 100sq.ft or less, furnishings should be smaller, except for bed.it should be queen size.an unmanned lobby present guests with unneccessary risk.

Location. Rude staff, overpriced, unsafe windows - I stayed on the tenth floor, windows can be opened, weren't locked. Overall I was not happy with my stay. The staff was rude and unfriendly. The elevators are extremely slow. We stayed on the 10th floor and the windows open readily without locks. Unsafe for children. On a positive note - it was clean.

With a low budget, we were able to find Travelodge to our liking. It was clean, close to everything we wanted to see and the staff answered questions and brought extra towels with haste. Our car was kept in the attached garage, but we were able to have our items stored until check-in. The kids stayed with adults at all times, but we were not afraid of our location. We will use this Travelodge again.

Location was great. The hotel lobby was very dinky and run down. The rooms were small andthe bathrooms were o.k. but could have been larger. Beds just did not get it. If I had kwown this in advance I would book another hotel.

The bathroom was really clean! It was a little close to the L-train for my liking. Sort of loud. The hotel staff was really nice. Check in was a snap. The beds were nice and the little kitchen was a nice touch as well. The bathroom was also immaculate! I loved it, I'll stay there again.

In all matters of dealing with the hotel staff, I found them to be very rude and not helpful at all. Staff accused us of flooding the hotel room because of some plumbing problem on their part which was pouring water through the electrical lighting in the room below. The walls are paper thin and you can hear every noise from the hallway and all rooms surrouding you. The beds seem very outdated and I found it impossible to get a good nights rest. If you plan on spending some relaxing time in your hotel for vacation, this is definitely not the hotel for you. The rooms are very outdated in all aspects. Although it seemed the bathrooms have been updating, their plumbing problems don't make it any better. Lastly, the train runs right beside the hotel about ever 5-10 minutes which is very loud. If you're a light sleeper, you can guarantee a sleepless night. Wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Don't waste your money.

I loved the location and the fact that we were able to check-In early, but for the price, the rooms weren't big enough and I would have liked to see a flat screen T.V.

Location. Staff was good, but not very personable. Our stay was comfortable. Staff was helpful, but not very personable. Room was quite small, but comfortable.

I and a friend shared a room to attend a conference. While we were not too crazy about the location (it was a 10 minute cab ride to McCormick Place, where our conference was held) the staff was friendly and courteous and our room was comfortable and clean. The security was fine and they helped us get a cab every morning. The Travelodge is an older building and could use some modernization, but I would stay again if the price was right.

This is the second year I've been in Chicago for a conference & stayed at the Travelodge Downtown. I like it's close proximity to places of interest when visitng Chicago. I chose to stay again this year due to the reasonable price. I will stay at the Travelodge for the next conference I attend in Chicago.

It's location. Had a hard time sleeping with local construction going on all night. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms could have been cleaner, butit was an overall good experience.

This was a first time trip to the Windy City, the staff was very helpful to a couple of small town gals. The beds could have been a little softer, but we had plenty of hot water for showers. Overall it's a great place to stay, we walked every where we wanted to go, which saved on cab fares.

On my business trip to Chicago I received a little more than I had anticipated in less than a twenty four hour turn around. The hotel possesses a courteous and friendly staff-assisting with additional items upon request. The manager was able to provide a document that I required in less than ten minutes utilizing available resources at his disposal. The hotel itself was built around the 1920's which, if you are like me, added an exciting older feel to the trip. The location itself is centered in the heart of downtown surrounded by beautiful architecture and incredibly diverse restaurant choices.

Eric the night desk clerk. Fun, relaxed, treated us like people, not sales. The rooms were smaller than dorm rooms. The night staff was great, easy to laugh and help. Day staff was kind creepy and rude. The room was really small and cramped.

I stayed in a king size room and the room was small There was old gum on the carpet that was black from the dirt that collected there. The bathroom smelled of urine and the room itself smelled musty. The window was dirty and the air conditioner didn't work well so the room was hot. The hand towel left in the bathroom had been there for a while as it was mildewed. I'll never stay at the Travelodge in Chicago again!! This place would probably be harmful to the health of the young and elderly.

Locates in downtown. Didn't know I need to pay parking separately. The room is so-so clean and with essentials in the room, but it looks old.

I was attending a convention which was right around the corner. The hotel was also central to a lot of sites. The hotel was very clean, quiet, comfortable and safe. It just had some run-down looks to it such as peeling paint and windows needing painting and repairs.
