Date of Stay:
May, 2009
Room was adequate for what we needed. Just a place to sleep. Breakfast was below average. Bisquits tasted at least a day old; the individual packaged sweetner for coffee or cereal had gotten damp and then dried into hard clumps.
Date of Stay:
June, 2009
I left, that was the best part. This hotel was awful, bugs in the bed, silverfish in the shower. Dirty, and nasty experience. This was worse than just an old hotel. No one had cleaned, whether they had changed the beds was questionable, trash from the previous guests on the floor, dead bug between the sheets (that's right I said a dead critter was in the bed) silverfish in the shower, it was just nasty, and that was the room we made them switch us to after seeing th first room! This hotel was completely horrible.
Date of Stay:
July, 2008
This hotel was unkempt with dirt, crumbs, food in the corners of the room. The bed linen was worn and thin and did not fit the bed. The room was dingy and needed to be painted (worn woodwork, soiled grout) It was a very depressing place to stay and, for the same amount of money, we could have stayed at a better quality inn. There were rowdy guests outside at the pool all night and the whole atmosphere was depressing.

This was the most disgusting room I have ever stayed in. It stunk of mold. There were dead bugs between the mattresses. The mattress and box springs were not just bowed but virtually cratered in the middle. The fitted sheet had blood stains. The floor under the vanity was bulging up under the carpet. The threshold at the bathroom door was lifting up from the floor, exposing the metal screwheads that could rip open bare feet. The tub surface was flaking off. My wife almost slept in our car, it was so bad. We moved out after the first night and thankfully found a room at the new Hampton Inn for the second night. I wish there was a way to demand my money back. I will never book on this web site again and will never stay at a Travelodge again.

The rooms had a bad odor. I checked two of them and both smelled the same. Must be some deodorizer they use to cover up ???. Very SMALL bathroom for very SHORT people (I'm 5'6"). Also, the charged my debit card 4 seperate times so our vacation was terrible due to not having access to those funds for 4 days.

August, 2007
The front desk clerk was very nice. I was annoyed that the cleaning staff knocked on my door at 9AM wanting to clean the room. I was also annoyed that the one ice machine I could find on the property was not working. Other than that it's an OK place to stay when I take my daughter to and from Mizzou.

Comfortable. Scratchy sheets, hard mattress, wrong TV channel listings. Overall OK, but little details left unattended, such as alarm clock not plugged in, TV channels advertised in room were not same as provided on TV.
Date of Stay:
October, 2007
The front desk staff was pleasant at check-in and the free cookies were excellent! It went downhill from there. At 2:30 in the morning a group of young men checked-in for the local football game the next day. After listening to them party for 30 minutes, we called the front desk. Clerk on duty told us he couldn't do anything since he was there alone. Police were finally called but they only drove through the parking lot. Partying continued for another hour. When we went to take morning showers we had cold and, only sporadic, warm water. A call to the front desk resulted in the advice to "wait a while....everyone is showering at the same time". After waiting and no change, a maintence man stopped by and said he would turn up the temperature. Still no hot water. Since we had to wait all morning for the water problem, our room was not cleaned by the maids even after we called for maid service. The air conditioner temperature control did not work. It was either freezing or warm/humid air. The next morning the water problem was still unresolved. I was never so glad to leave a hotel!

Room not clean. Big pieces of dried dirt on carpet. Smelled bad. Sink and toilet in disrepair. Bed was awful. Room very noisy. Room was tiny. I paid for two nights, but left after one and paid to stay at a different hotel for the second night.
Date of Stay:
April, 2009
Everything was only 10 min. or less away. It was old and rundown. My room was okay but the 2nd room we had for the family had beds hard as rocks, with springs sticking up and the shower nozzle fell off.

YOu get what you pay for....did not get double beds...cheap hotel....cheap price.

The locationonly, Iwill never utilize Travelodge again. I did like everything. It smelled, it was old. I would not take off shoes. This hotel was very nasty, old, smelled. The furniture was very old the air condition/heater was leaking. The carpet was so disgusting we wouldn't walk on the carpet without shoes. Need to be torn down or a major major renovation.
Date of Stay:
August, 2007
was not very impressed with this travelodge. i requested a queen bed and got a double. the internet did not reliably work. the shower was so dirty we used shower shoes, and the shower itself was far from pleasant. i've stayed in cleaner hotels. the super 8's i've stayed at have been very nice and luxurious in comparison to this travelodge. they did give us free cookies though. and those were good.

Staff wasn't helpful, other guest partied all night and we had no sleep at all. Bathroom was completely gross with dirt on the floor and walls. I would not stay here again. The staff was not friendly or helpful and apparently this hotel caters to the party crowd and not families.
Date of Stay:
June, 2007
The rooms were dirty. We had bugs that were all by the beds and bathroom. We had our toilet overflow and maintenance walked through where we were eating with the dirty plunger, left the dirty towels in the bathroom for an entire day, not to mention failed to clean the feces off the floor until 24 hours later. We were stolen from. Breakfast was basically non exsistant. For * a night we expected different. Our pool stay was cut short by a team of adult softball players that used the pool area for a party cove, using inappropriate language and drinking beer in front of my young children. Management said nothing. We were there for a state tournament for 11 year baseball. All the rooms were filthy. I called the health department on them. Never would I suggest anyone staying here in a million years.
Date of Stay:
November, 2008
The price. Ice machine that did not work. This hotel was not bad for the price. It was clean and not uncomfortable. It took awhile for the room to heat up once we got there, and the ice machine wouldn't accept my quarters so no ice for me. What ever happened to the days of free ice?
Date of Stay:
October, 2008
Nice features to the handicapped bathroom, extra bars around tub & higher toilet seat for handicapped. Beds were too low and rather soft. Window air/heater unit very noisy and hard to set a temperature.

"Wow- Travelodge was a great place to stay. We happened to be traveling through town, and came across it on the Interstate. Clean rooms, nice people. Free breakfast. Pool was wonderful and great for winding down after a long drive."
Date of Stay:
October, 2008
Easy access to interstate, but not worth stopping at. Disgusting room, looked like it had never been cleaned. Bugs, not vacuumed carpets, food remains on night stand, beds disgusting, bathroom dirty equals one unpleasant experience.
Date of Stay:

"Great hotel- clean, quiet, and easy to get to. The people at the hotel were really nice, too. Pool was wonderful. Also enjoyed the free breakfast (especially since I didn't have to pay for it). Definitely worth the trip."
