I believe that sheets should be change on a daily basis. Also you should have rooms with refrigerators for people that are staying longer than 2 nights.

I have stayed at this motel 3 times over the past year. Everytime I had a good clean room, wonderful breakfast bar, and super hospitality. Although I do not stay in Colorado Springs very often, believe me, if I need to be in the Mainitou Springs area I will definitely stay here.

The location was perfect but with the price for this definite 1 star hotel was too much. The continental breakfast was great and staff was extremely friendly but the hotel needs new carpets and a general face lift. Overall, it served our needs; a pool for the children, great location and a comfortable bed to sleep in.

Stayed here in May and it was great. But last trip was a mess. Room and bathroom smelled so bad of smoke that my hanging clothes began to smell. Electrical sockets so old and loose that very few of them worked -- had to plug in the fridge, my COMPUTER, and coffeemaker into bathroom sockets for them to work (sat on floor outside of bathroom to do work on computer; had to high-step over the cord to fridge when I entered or left room because the cord was so short). Wifi was down for 48 hours. Bed linens were stained, and bedspreads smelled. Staff was very friendly and helpful, but too many problems with room, so I moved to a new hotel. Location of hotel is excellent, and price is right. Just do a VERY THOROUGH check of your room before you sign the credit card agreement!

The hotel is in an ideal location for visiting my oldest son. It is reasonably priced, allows pets (I occasionally travel with my dog) and has adequate, comfortable rooms. It is not luxurious, but that is not what this price point delivers. I would stay there again.

We loved the pool, the staff was excellent, beds comfortable and free breakfast awsome. The location was perfect for activities in Manitou Springs. The staff was some of the best I have ever met and the price was excellent. Carpet a little worn and the rooms are designed just to be slept in but since that is what we used it for it was perfect. The pool was a huge hit with the children and we found it hard to drag them away to sight see.

We spent 8 days there visiting our son who had just returned from a 15 month tour in Iraq. The beds were comfortable, the pool was clean and warm, the continental breakfast was the same every day, but there was a variety every day. My son lost one of his best friends in Iraq. HE wore a bracelet that had his friends name, date of his death and squadron on it. When we checked out, it had fallen behind the night stand. The staff took the time to look for it, found it and mailed it to us in New Mexico. This was above and beyond and we would definitely recommend this to any family, especially a family on a budget. Thank you!

Rooms were very small; pool was small although at nice temperature. Wish they had a hot tub. Continental breakfast hours were way too early and too short.

The gentleman who checked us in was nice and had a lot of info for us. However, when we got to our room, I was horrified to see the mold in the toilet bowl. That could have easily remedied by placing a bleach tablet in the tank. They came in to clean the room, but never touched the toilet. The good news was that the bed was the most comfortable we had in an 18-day trip.

We enjoyed our stay, the rooms were very comfy and the pool was great with no little kids screaming in our ears and splashing.

This is a nice inexpensive hotel. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, free high speed internet, indoor pool. A good value.
