Travel Lodge was your average second rate hotel (Nothing wrong with that). Nothing glaringly good or bad. Staff was courteous and friendly. TV, AC, Iron and board, and coffee maker included. Not a bad deal for $50.

The people at the deskwere very helpful and friendly. It reminded me of the Bates hotel kind of creepy.

The Ramada was a very nice hotel and I would definetly come again. When i was checking out the lady was very pleasant. Thank You

I have visited Batavia, New York at least 25 times in the last 5 years. I like to get off the Thruway after 6 hours of travel and find my hotel/motel quickly. There are at least eight hotels in the immediate area. I have been to six hotels in the last 5 years. I have always looked for the bargain places. I didn't believe I could get the same rates in A Ramada Hotel. However, I have when I stayed this July in Batavia. Everything was perfect. However the hotel was not crowded. The hotel next to it was. It was a newer hotel with the exception of the old elevator in the Ramada...I'm sure I got better value for my money.

The hotel had very helpful and friendly staff. The hotel carried a strong smell that made it difficult to get settled. Also I was not impressed with the breakfast. Breakfast served was less than adequate. The room carried a strong smell which made it difficult to get settled. However staff was very helpful and friendly.

The front desk staff did not care if I stayed there or not - I asked for more towels since there was only one in my room and the front desk manager acted like I was a bother - They certainly act like they did not want customers at that hotel

Breakfast included. Room smells. Good for traveller just looking for a place to stay.

We stayed here on our way to Niagara Falls, and with a family with two kids, we were fortunate to find this nice hotel with friendly staff. We were especially surprised by the pillow top new beds..great sleep and good breakfast and it was free. Check this place out....did not have to pay a fortune either.

The desk clerk we had when we checked in. We had 4 people in our room and were only given 1 towel and 3 bath mats. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was dirty. The continental breakfast was sparse, cold and had flies inside the pastry tray lid. The maid service was poor.

This hotel needs major improvement staff not helpfull bad attitude from front desk person hotel smells room not clean. No breakfast coffee cold never stay again.

The lounge had karaoke on Sat. night. It was entertaining. The room was small and not as nice as I had expected. The hotel room was smaller than I expected. The bath fan was totally gone. There was a hole in the ceiling. I also think they could have done a much better job keeping the breakfast room stocked while guests ate. I think it was way too expensive for the quality of the place.

Large room. No refrigerator/microwave, overflowing garbage/parking lot. Nice breakfast, clean facilities and friendly staff.

I don't like anything and it was too costly for the facility offered. It was a lot of smoke in the lobby, a smoke in the bathroom of non-smoking room.
Date of Stay:

Easy to find. Smoke permeated the entire hotel. It was dark. The dark smoky bar was first impression in the door. If you don't mind smoke, and dark furnishings and lighting, the price was low. Breakfast was simple.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The walls are thin! I was woken up at 7:30 am by the hair dryer next door to me. If you don't have allergies and like to get up early in the morning it's a great place. I feel so bad for the people next to us, we went to bed around 1:45 am. We had the TV on and I am sure they didn't get to sleep until we turned it off. I did hear someone saying something after turning off the TV. The next day I woke up hearing them talking and the room next to me with their hair dryer. I honestly thought it was a vacuum cleaner running.

Good location. Room/ice cold/took 3 hours to warm/took even longer to get hot water for shower. Heat is poor. Hot water poor in shower. Ice dispenser at opposite end of hall. No soda/bottle water machine on second floor. Side walk to alternate entrance not shoveled. Parking lot very icy.
Date of Stay:
July, 2007
Location. Small, out dated, and dirty. My expectations for the Ramada were not met.
Date of Stay:

Nothing. Overbooked by at least 5 confirmed reservations. No room available when I got there. Desk clerk didn't have a clue how to deal with this situation at 1 a.m. Had to get another room at another hotel.
Date of Stay:
June, 2007
Convenient location. Ac did not work in 2 rooms, overall run down condition, holes in bedspread and carpets torn. I want my money back. I did not stay at this facility because of the overall bad condition and the lack of comfortable room due to the ac not working properly in 2 rooms. While at the desk awaiting my turn, another guest was in the process of a room re-assignment due to problems with their original room. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. I would not recommend this facility.
Date of Stay:
April, 2007
The continental breakfast is good. Everything else. This hotel is old, unkempt, the common areas were unclean, and appears to be used as a residence for a number of people of the type of which you would expect to live in a motel. All in all I would consider it an unsavory experience not to be repeated. We selected the 2 star rating, not expecting much but definitely more than this. There was no housekeeping service, no record of our reservation, no cleaning of common areas, dingy, smelly, and apparently the non smoking floors are "just a suggestion" because at night you could barely breathe in the hallway. All in all a horrid motel experience.
