The Travel Inn was discusting. The room was horrible. The furniture was really old, with cigarette burn marks on everything. The room smelled bad. I really just wanted to sleep so I pulled the sheets back and noticed a huge urine stain on the comforter. Being throughly dicusted, I went to the lobby. Seeing the amount of upkeep of the hotel, I left and went and slept in the airport on the floor.

The lobby was very dirty, and the staff had difficulty inunderstanding simple English. This is a low price hotel, which attracts some rather undesirables. While the room was fairly clean the public areas were very dirty. We waited almost an hour to get picked up at the airport. You get what you pay for. Not suitable for families.

I went this hotel with my family by rental car. Their room is very clean and staff was friendly. I could park my rental car right in front of our room. I felt really great this hotel. I would go again

The Travel Inn reports new rooms and it is clear they are trying but aren't there yet. The new bedroom furniture was matched with an old table and chairs and a funky tv stand. The bathroom was clean if you ignored the old soap in the shower and was missing a missing bath mat and glass for drinking. The dorm-style frig was set on the floor. The employees were very friendly. The room reminded me of a first apartment where the tenant had found out 20 minutes before that the landlord was coming by.

Friendly staff. Bad beds. Thin walls too noisy. Took too long to be picked from the airport. Beds were poor. Was suppose to be new rooms, they were not. The thinnest walls, you could here every sound the neighbors made.

The Travel Inn, Anchorage was less than desirable to say the least. They did provide a free shuttle from the airport and checkin went okay with the exception of them charging you for your stay prior to your arrival. When we checked in, there was no toilet paper, soap or drinking glasses in the bathroom (received after complaining). There was no ice machine. There were no hangers in the closet so had to live out of suitcases. It appears maybe a new paint job and possibly new curtains. There was a credenza in the room supposedly for clothes, however, only two small drawers would open up. The others must have been for decoration. The room had a table and 2 chairs for hanging our clothes on the chairs since we had no hangers. The TV had to be turned on and off a certain way or it would not come on the next time. The management would not tell you how to fix it, but thought they needed to come to your room and show you. The beds had not been made with clean pillow cases, sheets, blankets, or bedspreads. There was someone else's long hair on the bed sheets and on the bathroom floor. This part of the experience totally turned me off. We requested clean bedding and ended up making our own beds at midnight (3am our time), however, we felt much better staying there knowing the bedding was clean. They did have a coffee pot in the lobby, but no offer of coffee to guests. One person on the staff was remarkable - he provided all our bedding at midnight and was a very friendly person and should have been working 24/7 and maybe this hotel would be better.

Rooms were dirty, staff was not very friendly and parking was impossible. Very dirty and not very good furniture and fixtures, very hard to get additional towels and convenience supplies restocked into rooms. Some staff did not speak english. Not a good experience.

This hotel has seen better days. the rooms are being renovated and we had one of the newer ones. If it were not for the location, which was near our car rental agency, I would have pased it up. In spite of the renovation the whole place had the look of the 1960's.( Alaska winters are tough you know).

The hotel was remodeled in 2007 so the room was clean The bed's were very poor and the noise level at night was very high from other rooms. Overall it was ok since we could not get any other rooms at another hotel, the price was ok as well for the time of year. In the futureI would stay again if it was the only thing in town thatI could get a room in.

This was not my first stay at this hotel. When entering my room I noticed a bottle of cleaner left on the counter, floor wasn't vacuumed, missing towels, missing soap and shampoo. The bed looked made and fresh until I pulled the covers back and the imprint of a body was there. So obviously the linen did not get changed. I called the front desk and made them aware of the situation. They said to come to the desk with the cleaner and they will give me towels and soap. They were not apologetic or concerned for the dissatisfaction of the room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless it was a last resort.

The Travel Inn in Anchorage was nasty, the room was dirty and I slept with just a sheet because there was no blanket and the comforter was so nasty, I think there was a stain on it that was manmade if you get my drift. I was very grossed out. It was recently remodeled, what a joke, hanging new curtains and painting the walls does not account for a remodel.

The hotel is in a rough part of town. It looks old and out of date. The bed was awlful. We went out and bought our own pillows and pillow cases. The management is the cleaning staff. We should not have spent one night there.

Seedy neighborhood w/out many dining options. Although, the Falafel King down the street is great. Room was filthy. Stains on toilet seat. No toilet paper or soap. It says newly renovated, but I can't imagine what it was like before. TV was nice w/ multiple HBO channels and large screen.
