Stayed here about a little over a year ago and I am surprised I came back but glad I did...don't know what happened but the overall feel, customer service at desk and cleanliness have improved by bounds. Love the little Russian girl in the restaurant she was a delight.

I've stayed here before on quite a few different trips as I have family in Calgary and this location is both close to them and the airport so that is why I always stay (the price too), never had any problems but nothing special about customer service in fact I have to say that hit and miss when I have interacted with a the clerks at this hotel it appears to be an inconvenience to get any assistance. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. They do have any excellent breakfast in the restaurant where the food is very good and the service is even better.

Hotel halls, carpets and rooms were depressing browns. It may have been clean but you couldn't tell from the dark dirty looking colors. The window in the room had no screen. The only ventilation was a wall unit that had a wall switch with only 2 positions - heat and cool. So you either had to have cool or cold air blowing in or hot air. There was NO fan setting and no way to get fresh air without bugs coming in. We were also sitting in the lobby and heard the front desk staff quote a price to a walk-in customer $20+ cheaper than we got from Orbitz. One of the staff we talked to said the owners had just replaced the entire management staff. Maybe it will be better.

I have never met a more friendly and helpful hotel staff anywhere! They get 5 stars from me!! It's an old hotel so the elevator is loud, and everything looks a bit rough, I think it was clean but it's so old it's actually hard to tell. Great location and the absolute, hands down, best staff I have ever met in a hotel. Unfortunately, it's a really hotel so things don't work as smoothly, cleanly, and quietly as a newer hotel. It's hard to know if the hotel is really that clean as it's so old that it kind of looks dirty.

They charge you to park your car on there parking lot ,The room was dirty and bad smell ,and the bed was not queen size more like a double bed . Would not stay there again!

Somewhat expensive for a Travel Lodge... we paid about US * per night. No WiFi in the rooms - everyone who needed WiFi had to go to the front office and sit in there since that was the only wireless router in the entire place. Rooms were decent enough. It's on a very busy intersection

The hotel is somewhat dated but very clean and well kept. The personnel were very helpful. Access to the internet is somewhat tricky unless you are all wireless as lower floors are not wired for non-wireless hook-up. An older hotel that could use a major upgrade fairly soon.

Very friendly and helpful staff and great location. Old and kind of run down not to clean and small rooms. Bang for your buck, an okay hotel. It's in a great location and has a very nice staff but the hotel is in bad need of some major aesthetic renovations. It just looks dirty all the time - I think it was actually kept fairly clean but it was too run down to tell if it was clean for sure. All in all I went expecting a 1 star hotel and I was not at all disappointed.

After the cleaning staff removed my toiletries after my room after the first of a 3 night stay, the management did not return my phone calls and the front desk said they were helpless. This was my 4th, and last stay at this hotel.

Very quiet location. Close to airport and retaurants

Free airport shuttle. Noisy. We needed a cheap place to stay for one night in Calgary while we waited for a connecting flight home. We chose this hotel because it was close to the airport, had a free shuttle to and from the airport, and was cheap. The room we got was not at the greatest location. After we went to bed we realized how noisy our location was. We were in room, which is right by the entrance door to the level by the elevator. Every time the elevator was used at night we could hear its motor going. As well our room door rattled every time someone opened the entrance door to the level, so it always sounded like someone was trying to open the door to our room. If we had realized this earlier, we probably would have asked for a different room. Restaurant was good for breakfast. Didn't use the other facility.

The AC in the room was either on or off. Very old unit and noisy. Carpeting in hallway had wrinkles in it, a tripping hazard for some. Hallways not AC nor was area where ice machine was. Elevator opens up into a breezway, then you go out into the corridor. May have to walk all the way to the other end of the corridor to get to the elevator.

Location is good, accessible to airport, train and bus stops. People at the reception were quite friendly. Rooms were neat.

Reasonable location to airport and shuttle service. Added hidden cost to get 2 double beds. Run down and tired looking.

I would say that we received what we paid for but we have done this in New Mexico and have always gone back to the same hotel because of the morning breakfast. It doesn't need to be a big breakfast but when we went into the dining room at the Travel-lodge we were told the breakfast would be 14.50 and they would take off 3.50 each. Well, the coffee was the 3.50.

Room was small and inconvienient. Dining area/lounge was small, cramped, and not conducive for business entertainment, kind of like being in an over lit, dead end hallway. Location was reasonable, easy access to major roadways.

Proximity to Calgary airport. Room smelled. Good for an overnight stay if you have to but otherwise there are better places.

Room is clean. It's a little small but adequate for one person. It's easy to travel to the airport. Quiet neigborhood.

It was easy to find. I had to pay for parking, the room was quite small, the interior looks quite aged. I would recommend the hotel for more family orientated on a tight budget when traveling it was easy to find, it looks great from the outside, the rooms were very clean, but the staff member I dealt with was not very welcoming.

I was traveling on a business trip as a consultant of a small company. I attended a conference at the Telus Center located downtown. I was able to stay at this hotel and take the rail transit system to the convention center. By staying there I as able to save on taxis (hotel had shuttle). The price of the hotel was much less that the downtown hotels associated with the conference. The walk to the Trundle rail station gave me a little excercise at the start and end of the day. The ladies who drove the shuttle to and from the airport were friendly and informative about Calgary. All-and-all my stay was pleasent and the price was right.
