Great location for many historical shops. Local places to eat nearby. Get to battlefield and new visitors center in minutes. Rooms were very clean. Easy access to parking lot. Good family value.

We would definitely stay there again. We also like the fact that it had entry ways inside the hotel and outside.

In a great area. You can walk to shopping and places to eat. Breakfast was bagels, muffins, juice and coffee. Did find old ice cream in freezer from previous guests. Room could have been cleaner. Curtains and spreads seemed old and worn. Was close to village, nice to be able to get out and walk and not drive everywhere. Would stay again.

I was bitten by bedbugs while staying here. At the time I'd no knowledge of these parasites and didn't know what had happened until I went to my Dr. At no time prior to staying at this travelogde was I bitten; however on spending one night, I awoke in the morning covered with painful swollen & itchy bites. I've had to exterminate my home and buy new king size bedding. When I called the hotel the manager was extremely combative. She stated this could not have happened, because it had never happened before. I assured her it had indeed happened, to me, and I couldn't speak to what other people experienced. She then insisted because I'd brought my dog, he must have brought them in "from outside". I explained that bedbugs do not live "outside", they live in mattresses. I said that dogs are not vectors, that people are. She replied that in that case, I must have brought them!! Her followup letter states that since I didn't complain at the time (I had no idea I'd just been infested with parasites from this hotel! until I got a medical diagnosis) that I could not have gotten them from there. She claims to have had the hotel professionally inspected, in her letter, but on the phone she was adamant that she would not, as it was "a fact" there was no infestation. I asked how this was a fact; she kept repeating that she was speechless. So if you want to be infested with painful parasites that will cost thousands to rid yourself of, by all means stay at Travellodge gettysburg! And be sure to complain so that you can be treated extremely rudely and have the manager blame the victim. Rude, combative and not even an apology.
