The Travellers Rest is located 150 metres north along Victoria Street from the Kings Cross subway (tubemetro) station, take the Victoria Street (East) stairs (do not take the escalator) and turn right into Victoria Street. The station is one stop from the Sydney CBD on the Bondi subway line. If arriving by air, walk out of the International Terminal at Sydney and catch free mini-bus or take the airport train inside the terminal and change at central station for Kings Cross.

What are your breakfast options?: The breakfast we provide, free of charge, consists of toast, jam, peanut butter, different juices, coffee and tea. If people wish to go for a more interesting breakfast, there are numerous cafes within walking distance. Prices vary, but one could have a nice breakfast for around $10 including coffee, which usually is $3 - $3.50.
What traveller type is most suited?: As we are a backpacker hostel, we are more suited to younger singles and couples. However, we can cater to families looking to find budget accommodation.
What transport is available to get around?: We offer a free airport pickup if you are paying for 3 or more nights on arrival between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm.
What can I do nearby?: There are theatres and cinemas within 10 minutes from the hotel, bookshops, train station, supermarkets, post office and banks within a 3 to 5-minute walk, and lots of pubs and restaurants everywhere in our neighborhood.
Do you have internet?: Our guests buy internet cards from us which they can use either here at our office computers or on their own laptops. Reception varies slightly from one part of the building to the next. The charge is $3 for 1 hour and $5 for 2 hours.
Do you provide parking?: We do not have parking but there is limited street parking in the area or the Kings Cross car park which you can pay for.
