The staff was very friendly during the check-in process and during my visit however I was a bit dissapointed in the room. Their were no mats on the floor in the room and the toilet was stopped up. The size of the bed was not sufficient for a comfortable stay (1 double bed) The patio was a nice touch and brought some abiance to the room. The pool and restaurant areas were nice.

This is a little family owned and operated hotel . Owner Winston Wellington and is 2 sons live on the property. It is the best place to stay on the 7 miles of beach. It is Jamaica, not an all inclusive resort. The staff is very friendly and will help with anything. Resturant on site and a wonderful pool. XXX and XXX are on site as drivers to take you to any place in Jamaica. You will know the true life of Jamaica when you leave. This is a wonderful small hotel safe for solo travelers,.male or female.. Security is around the clock. I have been staying in one of the bungalows for 10 years as well as many of my repeat friends. You can also get involved with the school project nonprofit NEET operated by Winston for the education of Jamaican children.

This hotel was an adventure. The pool was wonderful, the service was awesome, location unbelievable, but then we talk about the Bungalow, bed lumpy, walls way to thin. Sounds like your neighbor is in the room with you.Only had hot water in the afternoon and the air conditioning kept freezin up. They have other rooms that were more expensive, so my suggestion is try the other room NOT THE BUNGALOW. The hotel on a hole was very nice. The service and the location made up for the other problems.. So no problem man..LOL

Let's start with the unfriendly and unhelpful staff, they do not know the answers to anything you ask them. Exception was the friendly security guys. So when we first arrived they said that our room was not ready yet. Little did we know that there was no room because they overbooked us. Two hours later, they ended up sending us for one night to an even cheaper hotel that was not even on the beach. So next day we got our "upgraded" room that had very lumpy pillows, dirty drinking glasses that were not changed from the previous guests, no blanket on the beds, no towels(you'll be lucky if you get any during your stay), a very dirty bathtub and a centipede in the drawer. The food is barely edible. You should ask what of there menu items they do have because half of the things on the menu they do not have. Important, they will try to rip you off! Make sure that you know the exchange rate and try to pay exact amount, if at all possible. They will charge you a different price everytime. Overall, we did not feel welcomed. Also, don't expect something because you kindly ask for, like towels, because it will take them until the last day to get them to you.

Although I've been to Negril three times in the past, this is the first time that I've stayed at Travellers. While it's not a 5-star hotel you also don't have to put up with snotty attitude. the bungalos are spacious, and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only complaint that I have about this place is that the timing of the maid service is very inconsistant, my first day the maid was just finishing up at 4:30 in the afternoon (which is ok by me) the next day she was ther at 9:00 in the morning (I didn't get in until 5). not a big complaint and I would definitaly stay here again. 50.00 a night and far enough down the beach that the Spring Breakers didn't bother me. But close enough to everything that I could walk where I wanted to.

This was our second trip to jamaica this year. December was a Christmas surprise for me, our first time at Travele's and what a wonderful time we had. We have visited Jamaica for seven years in a row this was our 8 visit and our first time staying at Travelers and it was wonderful. We have always eaten at Traveler's and had made friends there but we will stay there again. Service was great, the salon was perfect for me and my husband, food was outstanding, security prompt and just. Couldn't ask for more. We will visit again.Traci and RodneyLexington, Nc

I had really nice time here after a really bad experience at another much pricier resort. (I will never stay at G.L. again) The room is spare but did include a kitchenette, got extra towels right away when I asked for them, and everything was kept very clean. Staff was friendly and the beach security kept people (men) from bothering me when I was alone so I could relax and read. Billie in the Salon was fantastic and very kind. They even had good wireless Internet if you brought a laptop. I did have a mosquito problem in my room, but that was handled with a Vapox plugin device I got at the market, shower temp was unpredictable, and I would say my chief concern was room security because my room had no deadbolt and was right near the back gate which was unlocked all day while they did construction so I was concerned for my safety and that of anything left in the room, although nothing happened while I was there. There was no safe in the room. Restaraunt food was so-so. It's convenient, but cheaper and better can be had within a short distance. Overall I enjoyed myself and the price is right to stay right on 7 mile. I'll definitely be back!

The Bungalow I was in had very thin walls, The TV didn't always work...Had a hard time getting towels, The pillows were very bad...had big hard chunks of foam in them...The shower backed up every time , Sometimes up to 3 inches of water. Someone finally cleared the drain the day before I left....Security was good..but across from the restaurant there is a man who said he worked for the hotel and he must have or security would have run him off, named Jolly who trys to get you to book an activity with him at a cost a little higher than most, sometimes he is downright pushy, and everytime you walk down to the beach he is right after you....I didnt book any trip with him ,but he made it uncomfortable. The beach was beautiful and it was a good location..Sometimetimes the venders at the craft fair and on the beach can be very obnoxious.

"The rooms here were some of the worst I have experienced anywhere. The bathroom door wouldn't close, and there were cracks between the wall and room door."

"Would love to stay at Travellers again, price is good and location is excellent, walking distance to stores in town. Place needs to update the furniture inside and outside. Great beach location. A little hard work could be a nice place to stay."

"Stay in the rooms upstair away from the mosqitos. I have 40 bumps on my body becuz I stayed in the cheapest rooms. I could have spent may $20 additional dollars to avoid this. Don't stay in bungaloos period. This is not a bad property overall, the pic on the net pays it no justice. It looks better in person. For the price you cant beat it. "

Hotel is very quaint but definitely needs improvement especially with the overall renovation process. A/C in room leaked water everyday on bed. Never had enough towels and always had to wait for them to be washed and dryed. Not once did I see anyone clean the pool (unless you consider dropping chlorine in it everynight cleaning) and the jacuzzi is pathetic! The staff at the restaurant and bar were very pleasant. Now the manager of the restaurant he's another story... I plan on searching for a different hotel the next time I'm in Negril.

"Bungalo #14, is okay, the rest are horrible. If you want to upgrade they charge 50.00 a night more, for a basic room, they call superior. We left after 3 nights of torture. This is a very active resort, with an urban feel, on the beach. No privacy or seclusion. The staff, friendly and tried to help. Would only go back to see them. We'd never stay there again. Very sorry for the 3 nights wasted of our vacation. Enjoyed the meals at the restaurant, that's all."

"Our experience at this hotel was great. Everyone was so friendly and nice and their section of the beach was the cleaniest (no seaweed) and the most quiet (since it was at the end of the 7 mile stretch). The bungalows are nice, but they aren't very sound proof and definitely not for people who are picky about where they sleep. Overall, a GREAT hotel and value!"
