Hotel is becoming a little tired, pool wasn't open, many rooms are for smokers and you knew it, no tea/coffee in rooms, plus point in a good location, train line behind one side of the hotel a bit noisy in those rooms, they had double booked a few rooms and had to move people around to other rooms, it was my first visit to new york at the end of a 2 week holiday, not a good way to end it.

Man this trip was amazing and the fact that the hotel was a few blocks from Times Square was very convenient. The hotel itself was Okay. The price you couldn't beat. I liked how there is a diner next to the Hotel and down the road there was the U.S. Intrepid and a workout place. I guess it is true what they say. Location is everything! Location, Location, Location! Besides the toilet that kept leaking and overflowing and the room kinda looking like the motel in the movie "Psycho" (dark and unluxurious), I rate this hotel a 3 out of 5.

I've stayed at the Travel Inn 3 times and its a great deal for the money. You get a comfortable, clean room and free parking from when you arrive, until 3:00 pm on the day you check-out. The rooms that open to the outside courtyard area seem to be more quiet than those that have windows to the street (I've stayed in both), but on the whole the hotel is pretty quiet. You can walk to Times Square in minutes and Restaurant Row is only 4 blocks away. The hotel staff will call for a taxi or you can walk 2 blocks away to the nearest subway stop. This hotel is perfect for the frequent NYC traveler!

The hotel was great the rooms were clean and large. Food right next door. 3 blocks from Times Square. I have trouble walking and it was easy for me. I will absolutly stay here again and recommend it to any one going to NYC. Ate check out they let us keep the car in the garage for some last minute touristing.

Good points: Clean, reasonably priced; lowkey but helpful staff; decent-sized rooms, some with two double beds (which can be hard to find in Manhattan); blocks from Times Square; subway stop around the corner; police station located across the street; free parking! Drawbacks: Must take two elevators for rooms above the 3rd floor; no coffee pots in the rooms. I've stayed there twice and would stay again.
