I would recommend this hotel b and b to anyone travelling to florence. The building is situated just a few minutes walk from the Duomo. The rooms are bright and clean and the king size beds are fantastic. The bathroom was well equiped complete with shower and bath.Breakfast was served on the terrace which added an extra luxury to the start of the day. If travelling to Florence again we would not hesitate to stay again. Service was of a high standard with a warm welcome

When I read the reviews, I knew this was the place for us my husband and I to stay. We requested a room on an inside courtyard and that is what we got. Even though it was probably the smallest room, it was an adequate size. The computer in the room was very useful. The plasma TV was a decent size, plus there was video and sterio equipment and a video library. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, the room totally quiet and it is in an excellent location--only 2 blocks from the cathedral! The suggestions that were given to us for dinners were outstanding. We highly recommend the Accadamia Restaurant and order the pre-fix dinner. The only drawback was that they were waiting for a part to fix the hot tub and it wasn't operational the entire time we were there. We could have used it too, after climbing to the top of the dome. We would definately stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Florence.

This is not just a B&B. The rooms were easily as good as any five star hotel. Very spacious, in-room computer with broadband internet access, free wi-fi, large flatscreen TV, DVD player with free DVD loan. Facilities included a sauna and jaccuzzi. It is conveniently located and very close to the Duomo. We would definitely recommend the 'Tourist House Ghiberti' as the best place to stay in Florence.

We loved the location. We were lucky enough to get the room that overlooks the courtyard, which made for a very quiet and peaceful stay. Having a PC and Internet in our room was also great for us. Claudio was very friendly and helpful. We would stay there again. Fantastic coffee shop in the street right beside the B&B.

Location is brilliant just around the corner from the Duomo. Add that to the ancient feel of the building itself, and you experience a real sense of being in the heart of a vibrant and historic city. Fortunately nothing ancient inside. The facilities are right up to date and give the rooms a more contemporary feel than the exterior suggests. The owners are helpful yet unobtrusive. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Tourist House Ghiberti was a lovely place to stay and I would do it again. The room had more amenities than the average upscale hotel. The breakfast was delicious and fit a variety of diets. The breakfast room and adjoining balcony were charming.

We were impressed! Just a block from the noisy, bustling central Florence/Duomo area is this small, quiet, modern, wonderful oasis. Claudio & Christelle have thought of just about everything to make their guests' stay a pleasureable one. Wide screen HD tv, bedside speakers, headphones, flexible wall mounted reading lights, DVD player with many movies, in-room internet computer, large foam bed, nice artwork, comfortable breakfast room & courtyard, wall safe, extensive reading library, etc. etc. etc. They gave us helpful city information, arranged for advance Ufizzi tickets, took care of our laundry services and in their quiet way, were there to help whenever needed. We saved a fair amount of money over the outrageously expensive Florence hotels, but felt we got everything, probably more than, the higher priced places offered. This place gets our highest rating and we will return for sure!

Best place we have ever stayed in. Good and really quiet room with smart details as bedlamps(fiberoptic), loudspeakers beside bed, flatscreen tv, computer and dvd, very conveniant location. Nice staff, good breakfast. To bad that we forgot to bring swimsuits. It would have been nice to take a bath or go to the sauna after a whole day´s walking in the city. I think almost everyone could stay at Ghibertis. In some of the rewiews we have read that it was difficult to find but we don´t agree. If you have the adress it´s easy to find. If I ever will come back to Florence, I hope there will be o room at Tourist House Ghiberti for me.

After staying at four different hotels in Italy, this was the best in terms of personalized service, room ammenities, and quality of breakfast... especially for a small place. Some people criticize the price of the hotel (along with most others I've read reviews on), but the truth is everyone is expensive in Italy compared to the US. That's why I do give them a 10 for quality vs. price. It's also great that Claudio speaks great English. We had to move to another hotel because of starting a tour, but wished we could have stayed here the entire trip. You'll definitely enjoy your stay at the Tourist House Ghiberti!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Claudios' place -Tourist house Ghiberti! A very calm, comforting place to be in,was far above our expectation adn standard. We always choose and love staying in B&B's. With Claudio it was such a different, wonderful experience. Very rarely one comes across such as this. Probably our third encounter of such a wonderful place and person. Claudio's welcome, services - you not only have a beautifully ventialted, aired room filled with sunshine but also free acess to the internet and DVD's -who has heard of this and channels variety inclusive of many many in English especially when hotels so often charge you "to pay and view"! And then there is sauna and what not! Nowhere a speck of dirt! Claudio is a very gentle and caring person himself. He is such a gentleman, came to see us off too till the door when it was busy breakfast time. Only Claudio would do this. Each aspect of the stay has been well above our expectations. The best feel of the B&B began with him coming down the stairs swiftly to welcome us,gave a quick tour of the place and room, we had internet -free -have anyone heard of that? Then a quick about what we as travelers need to be aware of. Saw off always with a good wish. Claudio is not effusive but still makes all feel at home. Our suitcase wheel had come away as many fellow travelers had warned in the web of the result of Venice cobble stones. Claudio fixed this for us depsite having his hands full. We thanked Claudio, all through our travel to Rome,Genoa,Florence and back to Aix en Provence. Breakfast - a huge mug of extremely made coffee made by Claudio was such a personal touch. The breakfast spread was great and so filling. Soft music added to this beautiful flavor. The camraderie that Claudio shared with us was so infective that we guests too were extending to reach out to do something to the other. The place was extremely clean, very well maintained and well provided for
