we were able to book in to the hotel over 3 hours early. We also left our luggage at the hotel for 6 hours after booking out. All the hotel and local information was in english, along with local recommendations.

Very clean, helpful staff. Neighborhood was a little questionable. This hotel is within three blocks of the main train station. They were very helpful in finding places. The room was clean and utilitarian.

We've stayed here 2 times and we would stay again. Basically, it's in a very convenient location if you're just making a stopover in Frankfurt, as it is just a few hundred meters from the main train station. Rooms are clean and it's a quiet place. There're lots of restaurants and pubs around, most of them turkish, thai, etc.

I stayed at the Ambassador Hotel Frankfurt one night. I needed an inexpensive hotel close to the train station, because I had an early morning departure from the airport. The hotel was everything I expected. It is a short, convenient walk from the train station and easy to find. The room was small, two single beds, but the bedding was crisp and clean. The bathroom was also small but impeccably clean. The morning breakfast bar was ample and delicious. The only drawback was the location of my room: it was right next to the elevator, which seemed to make an awful lot of noise when starting up. I would ask for a room away from the elevator. As a woman traveling alone, I felt both the neighborhood and the hotel were safe. The area between the train station and the hotel had many shops and restaurants to choose from.

This was my first trip out of the country so I had no idea of what to expect. I have to say that The Ambassador was extremely clean and it was a super bonus that they had free Wi-Fi for their customers and a nice continental breakfast was included in the room fee.I thought the room fee was steep or I would have given this hotel 5 stars. Perhaps this is the cost everywhere in Europe but this was my first experience. The staff was very nice and helpful too with the exception of one man that seemed frazzled. They always helped us by answering any questions we had. We loved the close proximately to the Hauptbanhof (main train station). The Alstadt or old city was a short walk away as was the Main River. There was also a nice shopping area within walking distance as well. For those who don't care to walk, the trains and subways go EVERYWHere. If I am fortunate to go to Frankfurt again, I will stay here.

location is excellent in relation to the main train station. Hotel rooms were quite, some of the trebles have AC which was a bonus. We were a group of 20 and had no long hold up at check-in, no forms to fill in, all done via my details supplied when I booked online through late rooms. Can't rate the food as we did not eat there but the fridge in the rooms is also very handy

Cheap. Smell. Small. In Downtown Frankfurt, small, smoke in the hallway.

I was unsure about the location when I first arrived but the staff at the hotel was very helpful and friendly. They advised me where to go and helped book tours in and near Frankfurt. The new, very modern rooms with flat screen tv was a pleasent surprise. The breakfast kept me full till lunch. On the whole; I had a very good experience and would return anytime.

There are some 20 single rooms wich are not renovated. Very old furniture, worn out look and feel.

Rooms were very spacious and the staff was very friendly. The price. Excellent hotel! Perhaps a little over-priced, but you can't find a better deal in Europe anyway.

How can this hotel got 3 1/2 stars rating compared to other 3 1/2 hotels I have been stayed at. It's incomparable!

Stayed here for one night, on New Years Eve, the room only cost €75, which I thought was a bargain and had two single beds and a fold out one, had a fridge, ensuite bathroom with a grand sized bath and shower, t.v., hairdryer, balcony. Was very impressed and after the two hour bus journey from the airport to Frankfurt, it was a delight to find that the hotel was only a 3 minute walk from the bus stop! There was one guy on the desk on our arrival and he was a bit grumpy but I suppose so would I if I was working New Years Eve but there was a lovely guy working later on in the night and he was extremely friendly and chatty. For the money and the location, I would definately recommend this hotel.

I recently visited Frankfurt for a museum show I didn't want to miss. I am on a budget but like things to be nice. I was delighted with the Ambassador. It was very convenient, with a five minute walk to the main train station (which meant I could easily--using convenient escalators with my luggage--access trains going to and from the Frankfurt Airport for a 4 euro ticket price). It was also two block plus short pedestrian bridge to the museum row across the river. In addition, I walked up to Romer, the medieval center of Frankfurt, in ten minutes. The room was adorable. The door to the room, the headboard and vanity were all backlit, which showed off the textured white walls and abstract orange rectanglar art work to dramatic advantage. The rug was an attractive, modern, simple deep blue with dramatic orange squiggles in it. The bathroom appeared to be quite new also. The staff was attentive. When I mentioned how tired I was, they suggested a different room, in the back. I slept like a log on a very comfortable bed.The breakfast room was large and attractive, with a good sized selection of continental breakfast items and LOTS of juices!I would stay there again (I wouldn't even check other hotels).

The hotel is 1 block from the red light district, very noisy place! No air contidioned in rooms, bad cleaning service. few towels. Breakfast was ok, but not big deal. The best of all was the limo travel to the airport. I'll never go again to this place!!

The lobby looks great and the staff was very nice and helpful. The building was very old but well kept. The elevators did not line up with the floors. Location is great if you want to be be near the Bahnhof but it is located in the Red Light district. Safest red light district i have every walked through. The choices of great food around the area was abundent. My roomate mr. cockroach was a little bothersome.

"The hotel is clean and comfortable, with a helpful and friendly staff. It is located in an area that is multi-cultural and is very interesting. Local mass transit is easy to use and is not that expensive. Over all, a pleasant stay for my family"

"The room was very nice. The elevators don't line up with the floors so you have to go up a few stairs. It was clean and neat but ""warm and still"" and the street outside was very noisy so you couldn't sleep with the window open. It is located by the red light so not a good family place to walk to restaurants. Service was pretty good and it was a pretty good value for the size room."

well located (and easy to find) only a few minutes walk from the main train station. Simple but clean rooms. Very good value for money.
