Untitled Document The Timhotel Jardin des Plantes is situated in the heart of the 5th District of Paris, opposite the Botanical Gardens and the Natural History Museum. It is only a few steps from the small zoo, the Pantheon and the street market of the rue Moffetard. The nearest metro station, "Jussieu", leads directly to the Odeon Church and to the Eiffel Tower. This very nice district also offers a large choice of restaurants, bars and cafes. There are 33 guestrooms, small in size and in good condition. The rooms are simply furnished with cane and bamboo furniture, with white walls and green and yellow fabrics. All the rooms have a private bathroom. There is no restaurant in the hotel but guests can find a good choice of restaurants close by. The decor in the salon follows a botanical theme and in warmer weather breakfast can be taken on a delightful flowery rooftop terrace. The hotel's sauna is an equally attractive alternative for relaxing in this charming hotel. This 2 star hotel is very well located in Paris in which guests can find comfort and good services and will delight those in love with the Latin Quarter.

when I arrived to the hotel, they told me that there was no place there and they sent me to another one without any explanation. When arriving to the other one, they didnt know where to put us. We asked about internet posibilities and they told us that there was not possibility, and in the following morning we saw a sticker announcing SFR wireless connection. This is a signal of the lack of the information that the personel of the hotel has.

I expect it's a two star based on the size of rooms, bathrooms and elevator. They were however very clean and well kept. It's also a good location with 5 mins to metro and 20 min walk to Notre Dame. The staff was very good, but the claim of breakfast on the terrace is not to be believed. I was told there is only one person and the main breakfast is served on the ground floor and she couldn't also get to the roof top. Overall they were very helpful and for a couple days the size was not a problem. The full size double bed was comfortable for two.

Small but clean and comfortable rooms. Tiny elevator - take the stairs unless you want to sit on top of your suitcases in order to fit. Breakfast was lovely - great French pastries. Excellent location near the Latin Quarter where there is reasonably priced shopping and loads of options for food. The Metro station is 5 minutes walk away so all the sights are within reach, although the Pantheon is only a short walk away from the hotel. Very comfortable stay.

A very pleasant hotel and a good bargain for this standard in central Paris. The front of the building was shrouded in scaffolding when I stayed, but contrary to my fears, there was no construction noise at all to be heard from my room. The room was clean and fairly spacious, slightly dark because of its ground floor location at the back of the building, but perfectly comfortable. Staff at reception were courteous and efficient at all times. Breakfast was nothing special, but then in Paris it's always better to have coffee and a croissant at a local cafe anyway. The area is lovely: this part of the 5e arrondissement is understated and untouristy (despite being only 10 minutes' walk from the Pantheon and the Jardin du Luxembourg) - in short, more "authentic" and certainly more relaxed than many other parts of Paris. There is a convenient Metro station (Jussieu) 1 minute's walk from the front door. I will definitely stay again.

Our bed was too small, despite being a double - not recommended for tall or larger people - we didn't get the good night's sleep we needed. The shower temperature was very inconsistent, going cold every minute or so. Also, there were no hot-drink facilities in the room, though I guess that's why it's cheap. However, the breakfast was decent, considering it was included in the price, and the lady supervising it was lovely. The location is extremely good for the price.
