This resort is close to Dollywood Amusement Park, and is just a few miles from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Dixie Stampede Dinner Show is also near the Timberwood Lodge. In the winter, guests can ski the area slopes, and in the summer, guests can go whitewater rafting or golfing. There are shops and restaurants open throughout the year. There is a trolley that serves the area nearby the Timberwood Lodge. Guests can use the Fun Time Trolley to get to all major attractions for a small user fee.
The suites at the Timberwood Lodge offer kitchenettes with full-size refrigerators, microwave ovens, sinks, place settings, and two-burner stoves. TVs and DVD players are provided, as well as soap, shampoo, and towels. The units offer one king size bed and a full size sleeper sofa.
