Date of Stay: July, 2009

The location is ideal, close to Scottsdale Quarter and Kierland. The hotel had a very low occupancy rate while I was there so it was very quiet and private. The rooms are two room suites and are huge. It was a true value for the money. If you are looking for a swanky resort this place is not for you. But if you want some real value for your travel dollar you can't beat Scottsdale Thunderbird Suites.

The rooms were large enough to visit comfortably. The handicap room did not work. We could not step up into the tub and get out safely. The toilet was not handicap height. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in at a hotel! The front desk workers were very friendly, the pool is beautiful and the food great.

This was a very comfortable, clean hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast was included in our package, and it included hot and cold choices. Our phone did not work, and the service was prompt and friendly. It is located near the Scottsdale Airport, so there is the occasional noise from the planes, but not at night. It is cheaper than other Scottsdale hotels, but great quality. The fitness room was small, but equipment is new.

Older guy at front desk was extremely unhelpful and rude. He seemed annoyed that we were there and bothering him. Was not impressed by this hotel.

Pool towels were like hand towels, in room amenities didn't work. I wouldn't go back or recommend it.

The rooms were very nice and very clean. It looks to be recently renovated and we slept very welll. Hotel has a nice ambiance and a nice courtyard.

This is an older facility. Rooms need ungrading. Rooms smelled stale and old......smell stayed with clothing on returning home. Good location. Restaurant not open. Breakfast marginal.

Private elevator, USA Today. Handicapped parking, could have both parked in the one space, if we thought a note would have been okay to tell 1 party using it. This isn't fair. We blew into town, for a wedding. The hotel was not too important. We may have been in a great place. We didn't care. We slept there. It was clean, and that is all we wanted. We didn't want pool, gym, or people. They may have all been superior. We just didn't care. The survey should include N/A answer choices. We wanted, and got clean beds, a place to potty, and hang out briefly. We didn't want maids, or contact with staff, so judging this is wrong. We are thrilled to have so few notes about the place. We didn't have to cover the carpeting with towels to keep our kids from dirt. We didn't have problems, but we didn't appreciate the place either. Sometimes just not having an opinion is a wonderful thing.

We were there for just three days and needed help getting information and the Staff was very helpful in getting what we needed . the staff was Helpful with instructions on how to get to places and we like being able to just ask and they did all they could to help us . we were very pleased with our stay and will book with them the next time we are in Scottsdale. Called from the airport, would not arrange transportation for me. Came in to the hotel, told me I had booked a smoking room, was not given any such option on the travel website and would never book a smoking room. Would not allow me to change rooms until the next day, was too tired to argue. Room was large, burnt holes in bed and other fabrics from cigarettes, smelled awful. The wireless was not secured and asked for registration every day. Very poor coverage, signal kept dropping. Bathroom was tiny, but bed was surprisingly comfy. Tiny little kitchen as well. They offer a "menu", but if you go to the front desk, they have several fridges with microwaveable food, drinks, snacks, etc; I think it's the same food, except the price jumps a few times for having them microwave it instead. Overall, they seemed to have thought of everything, but the execution was poor. Conference was at Fort McDowell casino/conf center/hotel, the two daily cab rides (2-3/mile) made up the price difference, could have stayed at a much nicer place. The staff was overall nice; getting away from that room, I probably would have liked the place. Computers with printers were provided in the lobby for booking rides, flight check-in, checking schedules, etc. I didn't look in the restaurant or the business center. It's close to a commercial airport, not PHX.

The beds were comfortable. Small and depressing rooms, with dated decor and poor lighting. It seemed more like a Travelodge. Decor was 1970's style motel.

Completely moldy smelling room, looks like the walls are going to fall apart, bathroom is so small, we couldnt hardly get in to bath our 2 kids, this hotel is gross, espessily if you have small children that like to play on the floor. after mixed reviews, i gave it a chance, and it is just gross, we didnt even go down for breakfast, kids at the pool until 4am. and a very rude girl at the from desk.

Close to Old Town Scottsdale. Although right across from Scottsdale airport, never heard one plane! Restaurant small, bar really! small. Most helpful reception staff.

Good bedding and towels. Needed another chair to eat at the table. This is a mini suite hotel with entrances off of the courtyard where there is a very good pool area. The room was equipped with a micro and fridge, dishes, and 2 TVs. There is internet access in the lobby. The breakfast selection was limited and there was no coffee available in the lobby.

Could tell that at one time this place was nice. Went to the bar on a Friday night and we were the only ones there.
