From London M23 which leads into A23. Stay on A23 to the seafront. At roundabout turn right and the hotel is approximately 200 yards on the right. There is a drive in bay in front of the hotel and 68 car parking spaces are available at an additional charge.Railway and the TubeBrighton station is 20 minute walk to the hotel. Trains run from London Victoria, journey time approx 50 minutes.AirLondon Gatwick is 30 miles away.

The Thistle hotel has a great location - 5 mins from the pier but is very expensive and over rated in my opinion.We had to wait over an hour just to get into the car park.The air con in our room worked but made an annoying screeching noise. We asked for someone to come and look at it which they promptly did but their solution was to provide us with a cooler - not what you expect from a hotel charging you £150.00 a night. I bought a lemonade from the bar - it was warm, straight from a large plastic bottle of lemonade that you know they would have bought for £1.00 no ice and no lemon £2.00 cost to me - not classy enough for a top of the range hotel.I would recommend staying in any of the surrounding hotels as they are alot cheaper. We were looking to spend a little extra as it was my husband's birthday treat thus we splashed out but felt we were exploited. One plus point was that the Spa treatment facilities were excellent.

Unfortunatly car park lift was broken so had to walk stairs which v unpleasent experience. Excellant staff good greeting and a friendly departure. lovely beds crispy clean sheets very clean room. Air con not excellant and noisy. Nice to have security on the door at evening . would def recommend.

Excellent rate for quality and location of hotel. Staff friendly and efficient. Restaurant typical of big hotel, great situation looking out on seafront, but expensive. Room spacious and well equipped but air con noisy.

Clean room with good facilities but very noisyWe stayed on the first floor with a room facing the atrium. There were several parties so it was very noisy late in to the night. Bring ear plugs! Plus the bed was slightly hard. Overall facilities were good, average size swimming pool, great steam room and well equipped modern gym. I would recommend staying on the third or fourth floor. Very good location next to beach, restaurants and shops. In summary fairly good but make sure you request a room with an exterior room on a higher floor.

Hotel is lovely but didn't like being woken up at 7.30am by drilling and hammering!Other then that room was lovely and staff were friendly.

The hotel accomodation was brilliant - very clean and well kept. The staff were very helpful and efficient. We used the leisure facities which were fantastic for the space they were designed around. The only downside of our stay was the breakfast, the continental section was varied and well stocked although the hot food was 'cool' to say the least and some ingredients were under cooked.

Brighton DelightsGreat location, room could have been better tho. Overlooked the internal foyer area, and could hear adjacent room as only a door seperated! Gym and pool nice extras. Food was plentiful for breakfast but quality could be improved. Staff all friendly.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were polite and helpful. The room was good, the only things I would say is that the shower was a bit pathetic (!) and the walls were quite thin and we could hear next door's TV. Was quite expensive for two nights, but that probably had something to do with the fact that it was easter weekend. We didn't eat a meal in the hotel so I can't comment on that, but we did notice that the room service menu was quite expensive...although that seems to be the case in most hotels. Nice swimming pool with sauna and steam room.

dissapointing experiencewhen we arrived ther was no parking avialable. We were told we had to park at another hotel which was over 20 mins walk away. In the rain!! Parking was very expensive at £15.00 for the day. We booked a special rate inclusive of breakfast with late rooms and when we arrived we were told that they had no knowledge of breakfast being included. I had to therefore pay for breakfast and now see if i can reclaim this cost. I have given them confirmation nof my booking which clearly states this fact and I am still waiting for a refund. The room was ok but needed updating . Very few treats in the room just basic shower gel. and shampoo. whcih was very watered down.Very few towels to use between us, one of which was dirty. Overall i was a quite dissapointed as i was recomended to this hotel but it did not live up to my expectations.

Room and Service OK, Food Rubbish!Room and Service acceptable for a 4* hotel, but nothing special. Dinner was alright, but very very expensive for average food or average quality. Breakfast has to be the worst ever, greasy bacon, sausages that are full of fat and grissle and packet scrambled eggs.

Excellent location but.....we had a room looking into the central public area - we didn't get to our room until about 3am in the morning but there were plenty of people still drinking in the bar which made it very noisy in our room. Another negative was there was a really really really drunk guest who was being an idiot and kept coming up to our table whilst we were having a few drinks before bed....security were watching but didn't act on it and it was a bit uncomfortable and embarrasing. The rooms are fine but if you are looking for something super modern this isn't for you. Another negative is the pool, gym etc is open to the public so we didn't use it as it was packed the whole time we were there. Breakfast was good with great views of the sea.

ATaking my 10 years old for a treatThe hotel and facilities were fine, however we were in a room with an adjoining door and they were quite noisy. The food was very poor quality, We had pizza and a sandwich in the evening which cost over £20 and a very overcooked greasy breakfast., I thought that the food we tried was verging on dreadful.

When we arrived they got our reservation wrong and told us we had breakfast and dinner, I kept saying I don't think we do, we were assured it was included, then I asked if they could double check to find out I was right it wasn't included, could have been very embarrassing cancelling the reservation we had for dinner in a local restaurant to find out dinner wasn't included. Then in the main lounge area where the reception and bar is, they had a huge crane for painting the interior, I wasn't informed of this when booking and certainly took the romantic feel away.The room was lovely, beautiful view and the best part about this hotel but at 5:30am (on Valentines day) the fire alarm went off, false alarm but no apology was made. We spent the day being exhausted.
