POSITIVES - My view was excellent (from the 10th floor), and the location was good.NEGATIVES - The hotel is very dated and in dire need of renovation. The rooms are very small and give you a feeling of uncleanliness. The hotel staff is extremely cold. The breakfast is mediocre at best. At one point, I asked one of the cleaning staff members for some clean towels, and to my horror, she took towels that appeared to be quite fresh and laid them on the floor in the hallway as she grabbed hand and face tools to stack on top of them.IN SUMMARY, I have stayed in hundreds of hotels a wide range of hotels all over the world, and this one ranks as one of the five worst I can remember.

A clean and easily located hotel with a friendly smile. Nothing to make this hotel stand out from any other, the bathroom was standard and could really do with an upgrade for 4* status. Plain white tiles, yuk. Tea and coffee making facilities limited, the kettle was just a travel kettle, and I had to ask for more coffee as there were only two sachets. After 8am the cleaning staff were at the door every half hour to check the room was empty. Probably my fault for not putng a DO NOT DISTRUBE sign on the door, but hey, its suppose to be a 12 oclock check out. Would stay there again.

We regret the fact that breakfast was not included. And 10 Pounds we thought was too expensive, so we got our breakfast somewhere else. The manager (?) of the hotel gave us much information about Liverpool, which was very friendly. Nice hotel, and we liked the bath!

A warm greeting from the staff and taken personally to the room. The room was excellent for the standard with a veiw of the river mersey and very clean with all usual facilities one would expect. We only used the room as a stop over so did not use any other facilities. The hotel was ver quiet unlike some hotels on friday night in a city centre. I did note that a limited 24 hour food menu was available which could be useful.

Excellent location for the city centre and Albert Dock - had a lovely view of the Mersey and the luxury cruise liner Grand Princess. Hotel was very clean and staff friendly. We stayed on a room only basis for 70.00 per night which was good especially as the breakfasts were an extra 14.95 each. Would definately stay here again.

Excellent location, right on the waterfront. Very helpful staff.A pity that the outside refurbishment was taking place in the dark, during our evening meals! Will definitely visit again

The wireless internet cards are too expensive. Often enough these are free of charge. The charges in the hotel were 6 per for a short period. Also breakfast is relatively expensive.

We stayed over on a Saturday night and Sunday morning we were awoken at 9am by the church bells ringing from the church across the street. This continued for half an hour. We were not impressed at all.

I found the wireless internet access rate at 6 per hour too expensive. Also, the breakfast was nearly 15. You should takes these into consideration. The hotel itself was overall good, but not fully worth 4 stars.

It was a lovely hotel. Shame there isn't a tick box for view because the view we had over the docks was FANTASTIC! The shower was also amazing. We will definitely be staying there again.
