Short break at Lake WindermereWarm and welcoming. Greeted with a pot of tea and a carafe of coffee after a very early start from the South Coast. Food and hospitality excellent as was the food. Room a little small and by the road but perfectly suitable for our purposes. Premisis now has hot water on demand (no storage tanks) bath fills in minutes - very welcome after a long day in the fells. Would certainly stay again. Thoroughly recommended. Well done Martin and Sue!

Very nice hotelLovely hotel with very friendly owners. Easy to find and nice location. Breakfast excellent. To be very picky, the mattress did not quite fit the bed but otherwise the hotel was great.

Esther welcomed us on arrival at the door and gave us complimentary coffee in front of the fire (most welcoming on a cold jan day). Our room was clean and accomodating and perfect for a weekend break. The breakfast was superb with local produce, free range eggs and an excellent choice. This was our first trip to the lakes so Esther recommended a trip to take in the most rewarding sites and we had an excellent day. I will definately be returning in the future due to the service, courteousness and standard of the hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Willowsmere. The location was good with plenty of parking. The owner was very welcoming and we felt it was a very pleasant family run Guest House.

Excellent breakfast, couldnt fault it but there was a really odd smell in the room on the top floor that would put me off staying again. Also, there is no bar but drinks can be put in your room up to 8pm. This seemed to prevent anyone from using the lounge or the garden. There is a gorgeous garden that wasnt used for the 3 days we were there. It was somewhere to have a great breakfast & lay your head but there was no encouragement to use the other facilities.
