This hotel was perfect for us. It is located about a mile from a huge shopping center, which had fantastic dinner options at very reasonable prices. We were 1.6 miles from the park and ride metro station which allowed us to go anywhere we wanted in DC. The shower was amazing! The dual shower heads were perfect after a long day of walking around the city. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

The shuttle that runs on a schedule; canceled happy hour (you need to pay now).

Very good hotel for the price. Feels like a 5 star hotel. 1 unpleasent surprise was that breakfast is not included in price! Over all very good hotel for the price in the Washington metropolitan area.

Very friendly staff, clean hotel, includes an indoor pool and gym in the lower level, a couple of restaurants, and a lounge. Perfectly situated within driving distance to the metro and the mall.

Even though I would stay here again, I wouldn't stay for more than the 80 I paid. I had extremely high expectations when I saw the 200 night price for other nights. It honestly was just ok . I have stayed at other hotels less notable that were slmilar. Bed comfy like @ home, bathroom pretty but not spectacular, bathtub quite small. Thin walls. Apparently every room has a big flat screen tv, no big deal for me. You have to pay for internet in the room, didn't like that, go to lobby for free wireless. The ups were the location, close to EVERYTHING!!!, and the Starbucks in the lobby. Free parking. Bellmen hover though. It came across like this was another hotel that was renovated into the Westin.

The Westin hotel and resort of Tyson Corner Va was a great hotel for the price. But beware of the traffic , due to its location (2 miles from tyson corner mall , and interstate 495 beltway ) getting in and out of the hotel can be troublesome. But the room made up for the traffic, i enjoyed the comfort of the room the bed was exceptional as well as the 32 inch flat screen with hi def was a plus

The showers are very relaxing. Loud. Lots of kids running around. Rooms are noisy due to proximity to Capital Beltway. It's an older hotel, showing it's age. The elevators are tiny and slow. Good luck catching one if there's much of a line. It's also one of the noisiest places I've ever stayed in. The roar of the Beltway in your room will be constant, puncuated by occasional slams from compressors shutting down. Get a good night's sleepbefore you arrive; you won't get one after.

Very nice hotel with clean and modern rooms (flat TV, Westin Heavenly Bed...). It´s a 20 minute drive to Washington DC. The area around the hotel is not very spectacular though.

We arrived late at night to find the only rooms left had king size beds left when we had booked a room with double beds. The toilet was stopped was stopped up with #2 in it. The tub/shower filled with water when you are taking a shower leaving you standing in water. Under the bed was just plain dirty, lint balls trash all over. If you don't mind spending 4 dollars for a soda or 3.50 for a water then this is the place for you. Overall for the money you be better off at a Quality Inn or Motel 6.

The room was VERY nice. I had never seen a bathroom so nice before. The sink area was remarkable. The beds were wonderful...so soft! The entertainment center the TV was on was beautiful. It was a great location as well! I would definitely stay there again.

Nice restaurant, good location, clean - usually a very nice experience. The room they gave me this time was terrible. The AC did not work. The remote did not work. They gave me a handicap room that had a strange set up . This is a very nice hotel and I have stayed there a number of times. I had a terrible experience this time.

Very good value - loved the modern furnishings and plasma TV. My only gripe was that the pillows weren't that comfortable.

Booked room w/ two beds, and called to confirm before the trip, but when we checked in around 2:00 pm, the hotel would only give us rooms with single bed. Talked to the manager, and all he said was they were overbooked, therefore, "there's nothing I can do". No apologies, no remedies offered, not even making an effort to straight out the mess. Westin floor definitely was not "heavenly" to sleep on! If Westin wants to overbook their rooms based on the airline models, here's some news: airlines are not exactly the shining examples of customer satisfaction! Even airlines know to offer some bonus miles when bumping their customers off! Later the maid didn't restock the coffee cups and coffee, and the pool didn't have any towels. We had to bring towels from our room to the pool, and other guests at pool took them. Big surprise! There was not towel at the pool! Again, the life guard gave this "there's nothing I can do" look. She just collected the wet towels used by others, and handed them to us!Of all the hotels I've stayed, this one is by far the worst. DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE BACK!

The Westin Tyson's Corner was really wonderful. They allowed us to check in early that day, and the staff was very helpful. We were only a few minute drive to the metro station and the trip into D.C. was an easy one. The large mall is also just a beat away and has lots of shops and restaurants. The room itself was very comfortable with a more modern styled bathroom. We used the pool and the hot tub as well, it wasn't crowded and is well kept. There is also a lifeguard on duty.

Clean, comfortable and stylish. No internet in room without paying for it.

Because the room was booked with Travel agency, check in took only 30 seconds. Front desk person had all of my paperwork completed - I didn't even have to sign anything, just show ID. The room was very clean and pleasantly warm as we arrived on a cold night. We had a corner room on the 8th floor with a view across the beltway and into the city. Even though the hotel was filled with student groups from two schools for the Cherry Blossom Festival, there was no noise. We did not eat in the restaurant, but the room service menu was reasonable. The Silver Diner is only a couple blocks away and a delightful step into the 1960's. The indoor pool was sizeable and remarkably warm and not crowded. The chemicals were intense at the whirlpool however, and the staff person there was bored and disinterested. She didn't know how to operate the whirlpool and made no attempt to find anyone who did. Shuttle service runs to the Metro and Tysons Corner Center on an hourly basis from 9 am to 9 pm. However, the driver made a special trip to pick us up at the Metro station at nearly midnight, saving us cabfare back to the hotel. We attended three days of Festival activities all over DC and never moved the car from the hotel parking lot. We visit the city several times each year and will definitely be staying here again.

If you are traveling to D.C and don't want to spend too much on Downtown hotels in D.C, this is the place. This location is like 20 minutes train to Downtown. They even provide the courtesy bus service to the nearest Metro station, which is 2-3 miles away. Overall, it worked out well for us since we stayed there couple of days to visit Washington D.C. One thing I don't like is that they don't provide free internet. You have to pay 10$ extra per day(Are you kidding me?). My room is little bit cramped, but I didn't spend lot of my time in room either. We just want the nightly stay and it worked out well. There are couple of restaurants in 2-3 mile radius. Overall, I will recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay for couple of days.

This was a great pick. The front desk service was excellent. Sarah made me feel welcome as soon as I stepped in the hotel. The doorman was as polite, and very willing to help you with hailing a taxi, or with your luggage. The beds were wonderful my husband and I slept like babies, the kids were asking if we could purchase the beds. They had a free shuttle to the metro and the airport and were quick to get people to their destinations. We also loved the flat panel tvs. We will deffinately look to stay here again if we are in the area.I used to work for a hotel, and this hotel surpassed all my expectations.

Westin Tyson Corner was very comfortable with a big bed and nice bath. I really enjoyed the double massaging shower head.
