This was the 1st hotel I stayed at that didn't deliver the newspaper daily. Also I enjoy a hotel that offers a continental breakfast, small frig for my own water and soda bottles as well as a microwave for popping popcorn and these imendities weren't available at Westin. I assumed a 4 star hotel had it all but I know now I'll need to research better next time of all the things a hotel offers. There was also no TV guide of any kind, so surfing the channels daily was a pain. Paying $25.00 each night for a parking fee I thought was crazy! The one thing I enjoyed was the comfort of the bed and pillows. I believe it's the first time I slept in a hotel bed and I was very comfortable. I highly recommend Westin if you're looking for a great nights sleep.

Large andwell-appointed room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was not perfectly clean, which was disappointing, but it was nearly so.

Highly recommend - had our newborn - they offered us so much and more to help with that. Room service food was good. Staff were just excellent - really going out of their way with things even we didn't think of! Room was huge and fab.

I experienced a med. emergency during my stay. The staff was wonderful. The courtesy van to/from the airport was very convenient. The hotel is close to the train and conv. center. Fast food rest. next door. Very comfortable bed.

Comfortable bed. Great shower heads. Tired looking rooms, bare bones amenities in bathroom. This hotel is very conveniently located next to the O'Hare airport. It was a short 5 minute ride. The Lobby looks very nice, but when I got to the room, I was surprised by how worn out it was. There was a huge blotch of something red that had been spilled into the carpet, the curtains are old, etc. The bathroom only had shampoo, conditioner and lotion, so be sure and pack some of your own amenities (shower cap, etc). As I was grumbling to myself about this being a 4 star hotel, I stepped into the shower and was hit with the most amazing stream of hot water coming from double shower heads. Nice. Went to bed, and, the bed was unbelievably comfortable (and I am usually uncomfortable in hotel beds). The shower head and bed were the redeeming factors. Great business hotel. Romantic? No. Went to check out and the 12 oz cup of coffee was $2.40.

Westin staff was amazing!! They took care of everything we needed and were extremely professional. The shuttle driver was very knowledgeable and was the first decent driver we had encountered in Chicago. We didn't eat at the restaurant because it was a bit pricey and there was a Giordano's Pizza (the best in chicago) right next door. The shuttle ran every 20 minutes instead of 30 which was very nice and the hotel is only a block away from the blue line and made it easy to walk or take shuttle to the train stop and then head downtown. The beds were amazing and we fell asleep better than at home! The showers were also great, they had dual head massage that felt like showering in the rain! Fitness center is powered by Reebok so it was huge and very nice as was pool! The only thing we noticed that was off was that the hotel could use some fix up on in the hallways.. they had gouges and scratch marks, stains on the carpet and walls. it was noticeable but not disgusting. It could do with some repair though.. Otherwise, we are not staying anywhere else when we come to chicago. They were amazing and exceeded our expectations thousand fold. =)

I liked the location and the decor was very tasteful. No free internet access. I was over all quite impressed with this hotel and will plan to stay there the next time I am in the Chicago area.

The hotel staff was very helpful. I had to have a dress hemmed and they found a vendor to complete the very same day. My only comment is that the pool was out one of the days we were there and my daughter was looking forward to swimming. All in all a very positive experience with great customer service professionals

Room and rate were great except for significant deferred maintenance in the bathroom -- blackened moldy grout and a broken sink inexpertly repaired. But in this day and age I'm put off when a nice hotel tries to hit me up for an extra charge for internet access, when even most of the cheap hotels provide it for free. And the room service lack of value: Let's not even discuss the nicer entrees. For someone on a budget, there's a plain burger (no fries or other side dish) at 15.50 and a coke, 4.00. Those are Four Seasons prices to begin with, not prices for a mid-leval airport hotel surrounded by competitors. But the real issue is that with the 20% service charge, the 10% tax, and the 3.50 delivery charge on top of the 19.50, you're talking 28.85 for a burger and coke without tipping the room service person. Luckily, there's a McDonald's next door: Big Mac, Fries and a shake for 6.35 all in. I took great pleasure in helping Westin lose to the competition. Had their prices been even halfway reasonable, I would have been happy to use room service, but I'll go out of my way to avoid being taken advantage of.

The room was great, and the shower was huge. Nothing. This room was booked for a honeymoon couple with a flight the next day. The staff was great Denise went out of her way to make this a great stay. The couple could not have asked for more.

I stayed at the Westin O'Hare while attending a conference there. Check in was quick and problem free. My plan arrived well before check-in time, and I took the free shuttle to the hotel. I expected the staff to offer to store my luggage until I could check-in, but I was told that I could check in immediately. A nice and very welcome surprise. The room was quite large and clean. The king bed was comfortable, and the duvet provided was comfy and warm as was the provided robe. I liked that the hotel actually provided me with enough bath towels that I didn't have to use the face towel for my hair or request a second bath towel every day. The bathroom was fine, and I really appreciated the magnifying mirror on a stand on the sink counter. I wanted to take the EL to downtown Chicago to go sightseeing before the conference started, easy enough to do since the Rosemont Station is within walking distance. However, although the free shuttle is supposed to go to the airport and back, I was told that the shuttle driver would be happy to make a short detour to the station to drop me off--and would even come pick me up there on my return trip if I called the hotel. The concierge was helpful planning my downtown excursion and provided me with a map and some sightseeing tips. The food which the hotel provided for the in-hotel conference was fine. I thought the lunches better than the breakfasts or dinner (typical conference dinner quality food. OK but not great). I was woken up several times each night by the sound of planes taking off from O'Hare which I could see from my room's windows. No problems during check-out.

Storms caused many delays and flight cancellations. Staff worked diligently through the night to locate rooms for displaced and late travelers. Our flight arrived 5 hours late - many rooms had been taken by airline referrals - but staff managed to locate a room for us. This was at 2am!

Location and front desk staff were top notch. Carpet in room had multiple stains. Using Priceline, this hotel was a great value.
