Excellent environment. Just few steps from the beach and the shopping malls. The staff service simply the best. Great rooms, always clean. It was a nice surprise to stay there. I recommend you to stay in The waves. I love it.

The beds were hard. Some people like that, we did not. It was very close to the beach, but parking was iffy because of nearby construction and people used more than one space per car. The bathrooms are nice, but extremely small. The staff was very friendly, as were the other guests. It is not close to dining and there was no coffee supplied for the room. It has a kitchenette, with dishes, cooking gear, a microwave, coffee pot, and refrigerator. Nice overall for a 2-4 day stay.

We enjoyed only a few nights but we loved it, the place is just steps from the beach, the staff was very helpful and kind and the rooms totally clean. I would go back there to relax and enjoy the beach.

I recommend this hotel. Is very cozy with friendly people. Located in a quite neighborhood, a few steps of the beach, surrounded by many green areas where you can enjoy with friends and family. Do not miss this place, It is one of the best.

The only wonderful thing that I liked about this hotel was the location, just steps away from a very friendly white sand beach. Also, if you enjoy walking or running, the boardwalk is not far away. Regarding the room, I had trouble sleeping due to the a/c unit. Had trouble opening the door. If there would have been an emergency I would have to jump through the window. No one came to clean my room during the two days stay.

We stay here in last february and we enjoyed it a lot. The place is really quiet and the staff is very nice. That's why I will come back in 2009.

Simple motel close to the beach, minimum frills, cable TV. Rooms have free ethernet access - I received a cable for free from the Office, which is more than I can say for Hilton, Sheraton or Intercontinental. The rooms are nothing to write home about, simplicity itself, yet for the price and location the value is there. I have no complaints. Only met the staff at check in and out - they were competent, friendly and helpful.

it was the worst hotel i ever visited and stayed. the staff opens everyday at 9 am and leaves at 4 p.m. no room service either. what do people do when they have to check out at 4 in the morning?and the rooms arent very clean same with the beds. very very BAD hotel.

This quiet, unpretentious spot exceeded my expectations. Who needs a pool when the ocean is a hop, skip and a jump away? With the "old fashioned" style parking in a central lot, I never heard car doors slamming under my bedroom window. What a relief! For those who might have a handicap carrying their luggage, it could definitely be a problem, but as two healthy seniors it was easy enough for us. The area is like a taste of Old Florida with winding paths beach-side under the magnificent tropical landscaping of the nearby homes and bed and breakfast spots. The buildings are two-story stucco and rooms are modestly furnished. There were some kitchen facilities included (microwave, refrigerator, kitchen sink). If you're looking for lots of room, you won't find it here. Not intending to spend much time in the room, it worked perfectly for us. There was no maid service, however the inexpensive cost of a room so near the beach more than made up for it. There are a number of food options within a reasonable driving distance, including some at the State Park boardwalk nearby.

A great place to get away from the glitz of south Florida. Surrounded by park and half block to a wide beach but close to the north Hollywood 40's style Florida. My favorite.

The hotel was comfortable, but there are not places to eat near.

This hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful when available (desk closed at 6 pm and was still closed when we checked out in the morning.) It seemed to be a party hotel, with a boistrous Happy hour taking place in the courtyard when we checked in. I felt that the happy hour might have continued for a long time if it had not rained. The room was very clean, if somewhat dated, and had all the amenities you would expect. Road construction and general street configuration in the area made finding the hotel and local restaraunts a challenge. Parking was not near the rooms, and there were no elevators. It was located close to the Ft. Lauderdale airport, which was our main reason for choosing it.

I would recomend this property to a person interested in visiting the beach and would recommend this property to someone who is OK staying at an older place. The rooms were clean but very old and reminded me of an old cabin in the woods However, this place is RIGHT on the beach and if you are into the beach it is a perfect location. That being said the location is definately worth it and if you have a bunch of kids who just want to hang out at the beach and you don't care about having a classy place, this establishment is well worth the trip.
