It was definitely a unique experience. At check-in we were directed 4 blocks away and given directions. We ended up on a dead-end road at an old GE building that had been deserted for years. My initial reaction was disgust. To get into the building we had to jump over the mud. The entrance was unfinished and creepy. Getting past the entrance, everything changed. We realized they were in the process of remodeling the old building. The room was furnished with very modern furniture. The bathroom was great with a jacuzzi tub. The two beds were actually in two separate rooms. It was very nice. There was a terrible storm the night we were there so we chose the interior bedroom. We couldn't even hear the storm and were able to sleep very well. My concerns for the room were as follows: No telephone (our cell phones didn't work here) The floors were dirty (new tile floors still very dusty) The pillows in the "bright" room were in quilted cases which led me to believe they couldn't have been very clean. There was a nice coffee pot, but no coffee. Not something you want to go out and buy a lot of for a one-night visit.
