Good 4 star Hotel at the very best location in melbourne's CBD. Nothing fancy, but more than adequate for the price.

The Swanston Hotel Melbourne is in the perfect location for shopping and night clubbing. Great security and service. Our only complaint is that we booked a 'smoking room' only to find out on arrival that the whole hotel became non-smoking on the 1st of July and we also didn't have a large screen tv that was shown on their website. Would definitely stay there again though. Great view of the city.

The carpet in our bedroom was stained and during the 4 days the carpet outside our room was not swept. Laundry facilities were not adequate and the bar was shut on Sunday night. Location was good for trams, buses and attractions. Not good value for money. Would not stay there again.
