my stay at the stuartI'd booked two rooms one was okay , but the second which was an attic room was disgusting the wallpaper was all coming away at the seams and the carpets in both rooms were very badly stained and you could smell urine coming out of the carpet in the ground floor room with the sun shining on the carpet . Breakfast was disappointing because on the breakfast menu it had if you would like something that is not on the menu please ask. I asked for a plain omelette and was told no they did not have time. Finally there was no mention of the bar, lounge ,or afternoon snacks when we arrived.

A brilliant "home from home" experienceFor anyone wanting just to get away to the coast but feel like you are still in the comfort of your own home, this is the hotel you need to book.We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we walked through the front door. The room was clean, well furnished, nicely decorated ,warm and comfortable. The hosts are a lovely couple, really friendly and helpful people. The guest lounge is very well equipped with TV with multi channels, bookcase stuffed with reading material, very comfortable suite. The breakfasts are very comprehensive with a selection of cereals , fruit's, OJ, and the full English with toast and any beverage you may ask for. Needless to say that my plate went back clean every time.I'll definitely go back and will recommend this lovely hotel to anyone.

excellentThe only negative point was the poor parking facilities. The room was starting to look a little tired in places but it was clean and we had plenty of space. The staff and owners where very helpful and friendly. I would recommend the stuart house

The Stuart House is very friendly and welcoming. They work hard to make their guests have a pleasant stay. Breakfast was excellent. The room was spotlessly clean and well furnished. TV a bit small to view comfortably.

Very friendly and accommodating. Absolutely no criticisms other than the bedroom was rather cool, but it was an exceptionally cold January.

The hotel was clean and well presented and only a short walk from the centre, with an excellent view of the seafront. The hosts were courteous and very helpful and created an warm and welcoming atmosphere. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Scarborough and we will certainly stay there agin next time we visit.

Had a great stay, arrived very early on the day approx 10:45, we were given a parking pass to enable us to park out front and told that our room would be available within an hour which I thought was good service considering the time we arrived. The room was very clean and had a view of the North Bay, breakfast was cooked to order and was perfect, Andy was excellent as front of the house proprietor made evryone feel very welcome, we will definately book again when we visit Scarborough next time

Excellent accommodation especially for families. We booked a family room and a double but were given 2 family rooms (No.s 11 & 12) each of which consisted of 2 small rooms and each could have accommodated 6 - one double bed in one room and two sets of bunks in the other. Very clean and very friendly. We were on the top floor so there were quite a few stairs to climb and finding a parking space can be quite a challenge but overall we were delighted and would definately recommend this guest house.
