Stayed at this great hotel for Winter Music Conference and was right in the heart of it all. Could walk everywhere. Staff was as friendly and courteous as any hotel I've stayed at around the world!! Would only stay at The Strand when in South Beach!!

This was our second visit to the Strand, and they certainly did not disappoint. The Strand is right in the middle of it all in South Beach. Our suite overlooked the Versace mansion and the ocean. The staff is very friendly and overly accomodating; almost to a fault (just almost). One of my favorite things about the Strand is the rooftop pool. As gorgeous as the beach is I think it's also nice to have a pool to relax at, and the Strand's pool is beautiful. It's not huge by any sense of the word, but being on the roof provides a beautiful view of the ocean. It's very peaceful there and I'm happy we decided to return to the Strand as opposed to trying a new hotel for our second trip to South Beach.

Location and room (suite) had kitchen and fancy tub, good concierge. Tiny unpleasant lobby, room service andhorrible loud restaurant downstairs, hallways not clean. You had to enter the lobby through and unpleasant alley and because of signage the hotel was hard to find from the street, it took them 20 minutes to bring me ice, the tiny lobby was thronged with people. Had to wait until 4:00 to check in. The room was strange but large and with a strange but nice bathtub. Nice kitchen area.

Found it difficult to find a s the hotel address was 1052 and it is set over various numbers from 1024! Once found this hotel was brillant.

It was a bit noisy due to the construction going on next door. No self-parking but parked in a car park building behind it for 24USD per 24 hours.

The hotel service was very good. However, the $12.50 surcharge is absurd for use of a towel and maidservice which should be included in the cost of the hotel.

Nice location and friendly staff. Room was very small. The hotel is located in a great spot. Very close to the beach. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean. The hotel restaurant had good food but be careful! They charged $6.00 for a soda!!

This was a great choice for our 5-day holiday in SOuth Beach. Perfectly located, great size room. Yes nights were loud till 2 am or later, but it was the World Music Conference time and things were hopping. In any event, we were there for the night life. Would definitely stay again.

Upon checking in, I thought the hotel staff wasn't too friendly nor personable. Flying in all the way from Ohio we arrived at about 12 and knew we could not check in until 4:00. I called ahead of time and requested a early check-in which I was told was noted in their system and was told that would be no problem. The woman at the counter was rude and told me that their was no request put in. She RUSHED us out and told us she would call by 2:00 to get us a room. It was 4:30 and we had not received a call. My mother and I had to find things to do for 4 hours while our luggage was placed in storage. The woman at the hotel offered us no service, not usage of the pool (which was guaranteed to me on the phone), did not show us around, did not EVEN tell us where anything was, nor did she welcome us. She just paged someone to come get our things and that was that. The entrance way to our buidling is in a very sketchy and unsafe alley. Being alone with my mom, I did not feel safe at the hotel at all. Our room was spacious for two but smelled like urine. As far as cleanliness goes, it was average. There are SEVERAL other hotels that are much better than the Strand. It is worth the extra money. South Beach is beautiful and I will go back but will not stay at the Strand.

We stayed Sunday thru Thursday and had an amazing trip. We had no complaints about our hotel stay at The Strand! Our last night, we were upgraded to a different room because our room had no hot water and Jonathan was extremely accommodating! He promptly handled our issue and was wonderful. I had read in past reviews that noise was an issue and we found it a non-issue...even when we were upgraded to a room right on Ocean Drive! We ate dinner on the outdoor patio at Prime 112 our last night and it was perfect. We will return to The Strand as soon as we can.

The rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable. Not much of a lobby area. Clean, updated, and nicely appointed rooms with free WiFi internet. Great location, located in the area of Ocean Dr. and 12th st. where all the action is. Good value for the money and location. I am willing to stay there again.

PROs: I have stayed in several hotels during the past years in Miami Beach area (Ocean Dr & Collin area) and by far this is the best one. I stayed in a 1-bedroom suite and it's very modern and clean. It's very convenient as it's right on Ocean Dr and is 1 minute walking to the beach. The pool on the roof top is AMAZING and you get the whole view of the beach. Nice and friendly staffs. CONs: Some people may be annoyed by the loud music at night from the bar/ restaurant on 1st floor. Also, there are not too many staffs at night and may take longer to get the stuffs you ask for. Also, they were short on blankets couple nights when I asked for extra.

We booked an oceanview room. The room was hardly that. We had a great view of the buildings next door. It took an entire day to get the room changed and we were expected to stay close until they were able to change it. The guy that the front desk was very rude. I think that cheaptickets needs to be clear about extra fees and the lack of parking

Excellent location, helpful staff and great room amenities. The noise level was a little high. Would definitely recommend this place. One of the best hotels in SB . Great location and knowledgable friendly staff.

The hotel is very nice a lot of room it was like a lil apartment. Very clean and the people that work for the hotel were so nice very helpful and made sure we were taken care of. if your not there to hang out all night then this may not be the hotel to stay in cause they play music very late and start very early in the morning. It did not bother us at all cause we did not go to Miami to sleep. = ) The veiw from the pool was very nice I loved it... But over all the stay was great I would book another room with them again.

I have stayed at over 50 hotels in South Beach. How I missed this one I do not know. Excellent room, great bed and bathroom. Good service, nice people and the pool on top of the hotel is great, nice view of the ocean. Location is perfect. I will make this my hotel whenever I go to South Beach. Your cost also include an umbrella and chairs on the beach. This usually costs about 25 dollars plus tip for each day, so that savings alone is worth a good deal of money.

Fiendly Staff, large room and location. Construction noise. This hotel is in a great south beach location. Room was large and airy. Loud music and construction noise were were a factor but the pluses outweigh them. It was good value for the cost.
