| My husband & I went for my birthday. The location was perfect, we were right in the middle of everything. The room was nice, very modern. The room had a refrigerator, microwave & oven. This allowed us to bring back any left over food and warm it up later. The staff was very helpful. Cafe Medi, which is next door to the hotel, was very expensive, * for a daiquiri. The trick is to ask for a small drink. We would definitely stay at the Strand again. |

| My boyfriend and I went to Miami for a mini vacation and wanted to stay in a nice place in the heart of South Beach and that's EXACTLY what we got! The hotel was great. We stayed in the Junior Oceanview Suite. We had a huge balcony that overlooked the ocean and Ocean Drive (which is considered the strip in South Beach). They have an awesome rooftop pool that has a great view. It's a really nice layout with these litle cabana things and the water felt great! My boyfriend thought it could've been a little cooler but I thought it was perfect. Not too cold, not too hot. The room was nicely laid out. You have a lot of space (for 2 people). The kitchen area is so cute. It has everything - microwave, sink, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, and a little bar area. The TV was small but they have a lot of channels, a lot more than I've seen at other hotels. One of the sitting chairs was a little dirty (like stained dirt) but didn't upset me. The bed is not in its own room. The only doors are the one that separates you from outside and the bathroom doors and the balcony. Overall, we both were very happy with the hotel. We even said to each other that we got a good deal with the hotel being as nice as it was and it being in a central location - literally (Ocean and 11th). Oh, and the staff was nice as well. The guy that we got, Adrian, was AWESOME! Very caring. We will definitely being staying at the Strand again! |

| Arrived in sunny South Beach looking forward to a wonderful birthday getaway. My husband booked this hotel through his travel agent and was told that this was a wonderful property. Granted it was located in the heart of South Beach on Ocean Drive, you are literally on Ocean Drive with the lights from the street blaring into your room. The room: Smelled of mold and mildew. Carpeting and sofa were dirty. Kitchen was nice and the bed somewhat comfortable. No room darkening shades what so ever. The lights from the street and the alley way were shining into our room. Very noisy. Toilet did not work. The staff: Were friendly and courtieous. The Pool: Had to leave our building and travel down two buildings to get to it. Security: None what so ever. Building not secure. Room was extremely expensive considering I hated to be in it due to the smell. |

| The hotel was absolutely wonderful. In fact, the room blew me away. I didn't expect to have such a nice room with all the amendities. Often times, words on a paper make it sound better then it really is. Not at the Strand. The staff was courtesy and anxious to make sure all my needs were tended to. My only criticism is that the bed could be more comfortable. Otherwise, everything was great. I'll definitely be there again next year if not sooner. By the way, the view from the roof top pool is even better then the picture. |
