Suite was very poorly laid out (there was a pillar in the middle of the living room!!). Toilet seat in ensuite was broken, intercom didn't work, kitchen units were broken.

Good size, good standard, great location. Excellent self-catering facilities. Only downside is a lack of parking - discounted rate at nearby multi-storey or on-street pay and display just outside. Great value for money for groups

Apartment was modern, spacious, clean and central. Beds were huge and comfy. Most things you need in the kitchen even if they were basic. Everything you need really and much better than a cramped hotel room. Only one complaint and it was the noise of boy racers outside tooting their horns at 2am. Didnt last long though, and we did have the windows open as it was really warm that weekend. It never put me off. I'd happily stay again, and would recommend.

After staying in a number of apartment accomodations across Britain, the Spires in Glasgow compares very favorably. We were a family of 4 with 2 teen age children in Glasgow for the weekend. The Spires made the effort to contact us on vacation to reinform us of there late check in procedure (which we needed as wead forgotten) and to confim our reservation. A nice touch. The apartment was very clean, modern and well equipped. We had a two bedroom unit with 2 baths - the latter is not always common with 2 bed room rentals. An arrival hamper was provided - again, not always standard. The unit had washer/dryer and all the other required amenities. There was a problem with our fridge, but the Spires were kind enoug to provide us access to an adjacent apartment that wause its fridge. Very accomodating.Th only inconveniences we experienced were parking and noise level. Parking is provided 1-2 blocks away in a parcade, although this was not an issue during the hours we were there on the weekend as there was available and free on street parking. The bigger issue was the late night noise from the nearby King Tut night club and other weekend club/pub/road noise. Not a huge issue but one worthy of consideration. We would strongly consider the Spires again.

Location of spires is excellent - check-in is quick & easy - quality & cleanliness of the apartments is fairly high - however spires is best avoided at the weekends - its party central, with noise and people milling around the corridors all night - very noisy, coridors stink of take away and stale beer in the morning

Some of the items in the apartment needed attention. The kettle was filled with milk!! So needed cleaned out before use. There was a faulty switch in the bedroom, that should be fixed on the grounds of safety, the toilet roll holder was broken, the blinds in the bedroom only turned one way... small details that need attention, to keep it as 5 star accredited apartements, all minor points that did not take away from the fact that booking an apartment for a 3 night stay was a great idea.

Hotel room was very spacious and clean. Unfortunately the corridors were untidy with empty bottles and glasses littered around. The apartment next door had a party into the early hours of the next morning, with groups of people congregating in the corridorand loud music playing all night. Had trouble with the dvd/cd player but the receptonist was happy to help. Also shower didn't work in the bathroom.

The entrance to the apartments was a little hard to find. It’s a good place to stay if you like anonymity as you don’t see any one, even when we checked in we got our own keys from the safe. The location was perfect, walking distance from everywhere we wanted to be. The only complaint I would have was that the apartment had a funny smell (maybe from the previous guests cooking) and the cutlery was dirty (dried jam) and the breadboard was lying on the side covered in crumbs. However, for the price we paid, it was a bargain and we will definitely be returning.

Having stayed in Glasgow on numerous occasions in the last few years, I have experienced my fair share of the local hotels. Some very good, some pretty awful............ but, on this occasion I thought I would try one of the serviced apartments for a change.Having stayed in this type of accommodation before I knew the benefits over the standard hotel rooms (more open space, kitchen facilities, etc.), therefore I was looking forward to enjoying another pleasant visit to one of my favourite cities. However, there were a few problems:1) The apartment, which was on the 2nd floor suffered from terrible traffic noise from the street below (St Vincent St) which seemed to be used by local boy racers as a bit of a drag strip. The regular roar of some cheap "performance" exhaust strapped to "mummy's little run-around" managed to keep me awake for most of the night.2) The maid service. Whilst the maids made a near perfect job of cleaning the apartment during my two night stay, they unfortunately managed to leave my door unlocked when they left. Luckily, the apartment was situated at the end of the corridor and nothing was taken, but it could have so easily been a very expensive weekend if I'd lost my passport, car keys, etc.. I'm happy to give the staff the benefit of the doubt that this was a one-off, but that's only because nothing went missing. All in all, I would loved to reviewed this hotel for all of its good points, i.e. the efficient and welcoming check-in procedure, the size of the room (we had two bedrooms to choose from), the facilities available (DVD player, surround sound, dishwasher, etc) and the cleanliness of the rooms............but unfortunately, the negatives out-weighed the positives. If you planning on visiting the Spires apartments, I would suggest you contact them and ensure that you're in a room a lot higher up so as to avoid the traffic noise. I couldn't help wondering how much worse the stay would have been if I had my daughter with me. After all, the on
