We had a wonderful stay right on the beach with luxurious accommodations and top-notch service.

Very nice andgreat value.

We booked this resort on a recommendation of a friend. They had stayed before and said how wonderful this resort was to stay at. We booked through online website, would not do that again. Their rates are very misleading and we ended up having to pay more then we thought it was going to be. The Resort itself was beautiful. Loved the beach access and how you could sit in a lounge chair and see the ocean. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Didn't like that there was a $15 hotel fee (per day), never received a newspaper and the DVD rental library was very slim.

What a wonderful hotel. The staff was exceptional, the rooms were very large and well appointed and the facilities were the best. We did have a problem with our air conditioner, however it was immediately fixed. There are 2 fire-pits by the pool area which are lit at night and we did not have any problem obtaining a seat around them each night to roast marshmallows. We would definitely stay here anytime we are in the area.

It was a good location right on the beach. The hotel staff was very friendly but not too helpful. Altogether it was an alright place.

Hotel rooms were very nice, beds comfortable. Location wise its far from other places to eat. The hotel was nice enough, we werent there long enough to enjoy it as we were passing through on our way to Miami beach. In regards to location it is a bit out of the wayyou need to drive to go to restaurants that are reasonably priced. Rooms are very nice and comfortable.

We have stayed in at least six different hotels on Daytona Beach over the years, visiting with family in the area. The Shores Resort & Spa is heads above the rest in every respect -- immaculately clean, elegantly fitted out from the lobby to the pool deck to the individual rooms, and staffed with the some of the most friendly and helpful people we have encountered anywhere. Even a painting contractor we encountered one morning after breakfast alerted the front desk that our key card lock was malfunctioning. Help arrived promptly! And the breakfast -- not included in room charge but worth every penny! Served by generous and attentive wait staff, the breakfast menu is scrumptious (and not expensive). Our ocean-front room had the most comfortable bed we've slept in anywhere. Perhaps it was the sound of the waves coming through the slightly open windows! The jacuzzi on the pool deck, with wine from the nearby bar, provided a relaxing end to each day.

It was okay, but not as great as I would expect. Housekeeping does not do a very good job cleaning the rooms. You have to request to have your sheets changed and you have to put dirty towels on the floor in order to get clean new ones. The glasses in the bathroom were never changed out. The pool area is not very secure-the gate is open and locals who live in the apartments across the street frequent it in the evening. The restaurant is grossly overpriced. The staff is very friendly and almost always opened the door when you walked in and out. However, you had to walk across an overpass to get to the free parking. They also gave us the song and dance about the hotel being overbooked and not being able to provide a king size room. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable.

The hotel is very nice and well decorated, good location. The room had a few problems, which they corrected when requested. They couldn't give me a King bed because it wasn't available, in my reservation stated king-or-double bed (2), is not always available, I didn't care much because we were with our son and at night we couldn't get a lot of play time anyway. We were with our 3 year old boy and there was no playroom for kids, I think that they need to add that to this hotel, also the staff is very friendly and nice but they need more training on the restaurant staff, the food is great but expensive. The resort fees are $15 per day and I think is an abuse because they are already charging a lot for the room. Dont use the minibar, really expensive.

I loved the room, and the fact its on the beach. Hot tub did not work very well. The food is great and the spa is to die for. This is now one of our get-a-ways. We will be coming back.

We stayed at the Shores Resort and Spa in Novemeber 2008. We brought our rhodesian ridgeback with us too. Was very pleased with teh service that we received and how welcoming the staff was to your "kid". There is a park right next door when you can walk your dog with clean up bags right there. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to travel with there pet.

I went with my 2 teenage children and all of us had a wonderful time at this resort. The pool, food, and valet parking were all exceptional. I will definitely be coming back! We love the area-- and have now found a place that we also like. I loved that we could bring our small dog too- they have a certain floor and rooms for pets (all are double door too). The fire by the pool at night was great. You won't be disappointed here.

This was my boyfriend and I's first trip together, and everything was perfect. The hotel location was perfect.. not too far from the airport and literally right next to the beach. The atmosphere was amazing and the customer service was excellent! Everything we needed, they provided. They certainly went out of their way to make our stay very wonderful. We were close to everything... parasailing, jet skiing etc so we were able to do a lot of fun activities. And the price is unbelievable!! If we ever visit Daytona again, we are definitely coming back to stay at this hotel!!

It was an upscale property with a great deal of charm. My stay was too short. I fell in love with this hotel! I cannot wait to go back when I have more time.

The best vacation ever for under $* time of my life. a whole week of complete peace. room service indescribable. beds were great. waiters always friendly. great rental car.

I was looking for a nice quiet upscale hotel and spa. What I got was a noisy hotel full of drunkards. Unknown to me, nearly the entire hotel had been bought out by a corporate organization for the week I was there. The hotel catered to this group and essentially ignored the lone traveler like myself. I had difficult time getting service at the bar and restaurant, the pool was overcrowded, and the beach chairs and cabanas reserved for the corporation. Worst yet, the appointments for the spa had been bought out. The reputation of the spa was one of my deciding factors for choosing the hotel. Needless to say, disappointing. While the rooms were overall very nice and the view of the ocean was fabulous, I feel that that I could have spent much less money for the same ammenities elsewhere on the beach.

I was not pleased with my stay at the Shores Resort and Spa. First of all, I was not pleased with my room and when I requested to have the room changed, I was told that someone would call me back. Unfortunately, no one ever did. Then, I was not happy that you had to park across the street and was charged $* a day for that. The location of the hotel was at least 3 miles away from anything and the hotel staff did not make you feel welcomed. I will not ever stay there again, nor would have my worst enemy stay there, it was that bad of an experience. I wished I had chosen to stay at the Wyndham like I had planned on to begin with. This was the worst resort that I have ever stayed at.

We've stayed here four times, and each time it has been a first class experience.
