This is a very nice hotel. The room is clean and roomy. The grounds are very nice and the beach is close by although it is not a good swimming beach. The food in the restaurant is average and expensive. Although the staff is not friendly they do cater to your needs.

Most of the staff here simply didn't care, which made the value for money poor. One exception was Terence on reception. Key area of let down was the service in the reataurant - where is the warmth and friendliness we have come to expect from Bajans after 17 annual trips? As a result of this trip, we won't be returning to Barbados in the future.

We stayed here one night subsequent to disembarking from a cruise. When built, this was a decent hotel. A lot of thought went into the design of the facilities. The beach was clean and good for sitting, but not for swimming. Too many rocks (in the water). It took a LOT of effort to find a traversable path to chest deep water with a relatively sandy bottom. Room was nice with good furnishings and comfortable bed (King). But Air Conditiioning, while working, was not controllable with remote supplied. It was set on a fixed setting, not adjustable. The bathroom was in desperate need of updating with old fixtures and some mildew and rot. It was a 1970 style standard bath (functionally obsolete). The room had a very nice patio accessible from the courtyard and beach, and a door that locked, but no key was provided to access from the patio to the room. The chain main door lock was broken showing signs of previous forced entry. The hotel restaurant was unremarkeable. Food was acceptable but not exceptional, and compared with other establishments advertised at the hotel lobby, more expensive than average. While not having other restaurants to which to compare, we recommend you go elsewhere for dinner, unless transportation is an issue.

The Savannah is a very nice hotel. Most of the rooms have a patio/balcony that opens to a view of the pool in the center courtyard. The hotel staff is friendly, and the rooms are very comfortable, clean, and spacious. The Savannah is within walking distance of the best beach in Barbados. If you're going to Barbados and you want to stay where you can relax, stay at the Savannah.

The rooms are great - try to get one with a balcony that faces the beach. It's in a pretty good location as far as places nearby, but the beach is nice in front and places like Accra and Oistin's aren't too far of a drive.

This hotel stay was excellent. Just what I would expect for a wonderful Carribean experience. The landscape-palm trees,plants, pools, outdoor bar were all great. The private beach was nice. Clean rooms,wonderful decor. Loved that each room had a personal lanai. Would defintely stay here again and recommend to friends. The staff was lovely also. Restaurant served excellent food.

The Savannah Hotel Christ Church,Barbados prove to be a very relaxing experience. The staff was very courteous at all times. The menu was well diversified whether eating at the pool bar or formal dining area. It's close proximity to downtown area is a big plus for either dining or shopping. The room was very stylish (Victorian) and comfortable. The adjoining balcony was comfortable, providing very nice views of hotel quarters & the beach. The beach itself was very accessible; unlike what stated in a review I read prior to my visit. I would not hesitate to return there again, upon a return visit.
