The reason for booking the Royal Yacht was because of the excellent location. Having checked it out on the internet prior to our visit, I wasn't expecting the quality of hotel we were greeted with. The rooms were beautiful and the balcony was spacious and quite unusually furnished. The spa - although a little on the small side - was delightful and very well equipt. All in all, the hotel website doesn't do the hotel justice.

Review of Hotel and facilitiesThe only problem we encountered in this otherwise excellent hotel was the very loud disco from 11pm until 2am every night (except Sunday!) which made the hotel vibrate to the beat! We were on the second floor. The accommodation was of a high standard along with the excellent food available to us at breakfast. The staff were delightful and very helpful. We would use the hotel again subject to verifying by phone that the disco was inaudible on other floors or has been discontinued.

Hotel very vibrant. Spa area and facilities exceptional. Receptionist very helpful when booking hire car. We ate at the Sirocco hotel restaurant on the Wednesday night and the food and level of service were superb.

Quality AccomodationSuperb Public areas and rooms, lack of sockets for laptop etc at desk area a bit annoying. Bedroom lighting a bit over the top and too many variations and switches. The use of the key unusual entry system should have been better explained

Started recommending it already! Two nights with a harbour view and balcony. Great service all round. Staff very friendly. A great spot to just sit back, relax and watch the world go by - actually, they don't go by as much as come in to the place - it seems to be a magnet for the town. Room great - air-con a welcome feature for the weekend that we were there. A great time was had by us both! We are already trying to work out when we can get back.

Very welcoming. Good facilities and the spa which is free to residents was very good.Although not the quietest of locations, if you want to be in the hub of things this will suit.

The hotel was of a very high standard, renovated/rebuilt to excellent standard. the staff were courteous and helpful, room was very clean bright and airy facilities in room were very good. Lots of bars/restaurants to chose from within the hotel and the location is very convenient for town/shopping and bus station. Local people seemed impressed we were staying there! Very good value for money would stay there again

Our first room was very noisy as the TVs are attached to the walls. The very nice young lady at reception offered to upgarde us as we were only staying for one night and had just completed the ITEX walk. The second room was fantastic, spacious with a lovely balcony. The spa was very relaxing, just what we needed. Fabulous breakfast.

Fantastic Room but tiny bedStayed in a Superior room with a large balcony over looking the marina/weighbridge area. The room was the best room Ive stayed in for a very long time, plenty of space, good facilities, absolutely cracking balcony. And the breakfast was top notch too. The only down side to the room, was that it only had a standard double bed. The room is plenty big enough for at least a king size. And for this calibre of hotel/room I would expect at this. That said this was the only down side of the hotel.I would definately stay there again if in St Helier, and would most likely check on this website to get the best room rates.

Great Place, go there right now!!!!!This was our 2nd trip to Jersey. Loved the hotel, staff great, food great, decent coffee, great cocktails, very comfortable bed. Room a bit dark, as we were in the old bit facing an internal courtyard, so it was tricky deciding what to wear for the day. The hotel is very warm, but you can turn the heating off & open the windows. The shower temperature did go up & down a bit but nothing too serious. You could do a bar crawl without ever leaving the hotel, it has so many of them, they were packed on Friday & Sat, night. The only bar with space/ quite enough for us was the 'Posh Bar' until after 10pm, so I suggest you eat out on those evenings & relax back at the hotel bars a little later on.The Spa deserves a special mention. It is quite simply out of this world. ( I have tried a few).I would recommend this hotel for a quality mother & late teen daughter, short break as they have a night club attached to the hotel. So mum could chill out in the spa whilst daughter was next door eyeing up the rather lovely young men. Even better with 2 mums & 2 daughters. Richard & I had a great 4 night break at The Royal Yacht. Excellent value at £125 per night. I would certainly stay there again. xxxxxxx
