If you are looking for a place to relax, then this is the one. The staff will do anything to make you happy, the beach is amazing and the pools are great. I decided to pick this hotel for my honeymoon and the surpassed all of my expectations. If you can get one of the swim up rooms get it! The location of the new rooms are very relaxing. Do not expect nigth life at this hotel, but you can visit the other hotels in the complex if you want more action. The Royal Gourmet restaurant was my favorite, you can have lobster every nigth for dinner if you want to. The also have good meats and a large buffet. Our butler was Carlos and he was great!!!! Can wait to go back.

This was definitely one of the best vacations we've taken. Hotel was wonderful. Staff was very friendly and very service oriented. Food was very good. We spent most of our days on the beach and around the pool just relaxing and taking in the sun.

The main purpose of our trip was relaxation and relax we did! With no children around (been there, done that), there were few distractions and little noise. If you wanted more action you could visit another section of the complex, but we never found the need. I think the biggest positive about the whole experience was the incredible staff. Always there with a smile willing to do anything to make your stay comfortable. How many times have you had the young man pouring your water at your meal say "thank you for coming to our island". We left the hotel for only one excursion -- a zipline tour --that was an awesome experience. Only negative --- we had to leave! We will return.

This was a great relaxing vacation. We went with the sole purpose to get away from the busy hectic fast past new york city life and it provided all we needed for that. I have been to the Dominican Republic on 5 separate occasions and absolutely love punta cana for the sole purpose of the beach alone. You just can't beat the soft sands and clear turquoise waters. I am one of those people that can just sit on the beach all day and be content so how could I complain? If you are a beach person anywhere along bavaro beach is a good move just picking which resort best fits the rest of your needs is then up to you. I will say, I have been to 3 different resorts in punta cana and one resort 2 twice in puerto plata and the royal suites turquesa was my favorite. The close proximity of their royal pool and rooms to the beach was great. It makes bouncing back to the room for something here or there quite convenient and everything is close by. I have stayed at some royal suites in other hotels and have always had a little journey to get on the beach, so once your there it can be a pain if you need to get back to your room or to somewhere to eat or what not. I mean overall, at none of the resorts is it like miles and miles but i'm also a new yorker so walking isn't much a big deal for me. If your looking for quick and easy then this is the spot. The beach is very clean with royal guest having the benefit of beds on the beaches along with waiter service. Takes laziness to a whole new level which on vacation can be a great thing. The food is always what you make it. Anyone that would complain is ridiculous for expecting 5 star gourmet food at an all inclusive. Lets just be realistic. They do their best and we enjoyed the food greatly at this resort. The service is slow but you have to remember you are on island time and everything is much more laid back. Take it with a grain of salt and learn to enjoy it. We tend to be spoiled with our fast food and run around pace its nice to sit
