My partner and I just stayed at this hotel for 4 nights on a B&B Basis. The hotel representated excellent value for money (but bear in mind I believe we secured a very reduced rate due to the current economic climate). The staff here are so friendly, I had no idea that English appears to be the local's second language too which helps when you want to talk more with the locals about the area. Even out of the hotel people were extremely friendly, a cardinal of citadel spoke to my parents at length about England, Yorkshire, the economy and local life on Gozo (They were in Gozo at the same time I was in Malta). We had a car and on reflection some might feel the hotel is quite remote, there is a hotel next door and at this time of year the main pub/bar attached to the hotel was closed leaving only the lobby bar for drinks (no music, large sofa's so not that much of a vibe if thats what you want). However, the bus routes are so easy and given that the island is only about 35km long (longer than google will tell you) it's not a problem to see the sights. Speaking of which, everyone talks about the Blue Lagoon, very overrated. We only ate the breakfast but it was more than adequate, cereals, breads, ham's, cheese, fruit, yoghurt, cooked food (including good bacon) etc. The Spa under the hotel is great and if you ever get a rainy day then this is an ideal retreat. Only drawback of this holiday despite the fact we had some cloud and a full rainy day were the jelly fish in the sea. Everywhere, makes swimming a difficult task and even snorkelling was a bit like a minefield.If you want a really relaxed, laid back, quiet vacation and a value for money hotel then I would recommend it and we would certainly visit again.

Remote location, quiet. Restaurant service questionable. Food ok. Some reception staff was really good and some really not helpful. Pictures on the walls were great.

The best thing about this hotel is the view. The staff are not the friendliest and it is very basic more like a 2* I have no idea why it is rated as a 4*

A nice pleasant hotel in a good location for a Ferry trip to Gozo or Comino. A little quiet and isolated with limited options for shopping. The hotel kiosk was very small and quite expensive. A cheap and tacky suitcase was 46 euro's though the hotel down the road sold the same case for 34. Bottles of water were not cheap, the tap water was advised as being "undrinkable" so it was as cheap to buy beer almost. Stock up from a supermarket before you get there especially if you have a family, the rooms have a small fridge. I'd stay again for a few days but not for a week.
