The Ridge Tahoe calls itself a full service hotel. NOT.. We got there at 830pm. When my husband ask whether the restaurant was open, front desk agents looked at him as if he was nuts. My husband ask where would one eat. They told him at the market. My husband asks. "ok, where is this market?" The agent looks at him as if he was in the wrong planet. My husband asks again. I am not from here. I have never been to your establishment. Kindly, direct us to where we can get food. Then the front desk agent impatiently tells us the directions. Once we got to our room. There was no shampoos. So we call the concierge. The concierge explains that they did not provide shampoos. My husband then says "but you claim yourselves to be full service hotel, how come you don't provide shampoos?" He hung up. So my husband and i went out to dinner. Whe we came back to our room. Someone brought shampoos, soap and instant coffee.

It was conveniently located to the casinos. Could have nicer furniture. I thought the hotel was nice, close to the casinos, and would recommend it.

I stayed here early March and give it a 88% I was pleased with my stay here. The suite was large enough to accommodate six adults and was walking distance to a lift at Heavenly mountain. It had nice size TV's, one 50" DLP and a smaller LCD and a stereo system. A free shuttle bus also ran to heavenly as well as south Lake Tahoe. Our condo had two hot tubs on the top floor, one over looking Lake Tahoe, the other Carson City. To address other reviews, the pull out bed felt like a pull out bed, no better or worse than any others I've slept on. The other two beds were king size sleep number beds, which were better than my bed at home. Covered parking spots did tend to fill late in the evening but we never had a huge problem finding an open one. Shampoo, conditioner and coffee were not provided but as a twenty something male I can go a few days without shampoo and bought good coffee grounds in town. I never noticed the staff being rude, but the only one I had very much contact with was the bartender. The bus drivers were very friendly, especially since they had to deal with drunk.

Staff was very unfriendly. Sofa bed was so worn out my kids could not even sleep on it. We arrived during a snow storm right at dinner time and was told we could not eat at the only restraurant because we needed reservations. We were suppose to have covered parking but all spaces were full by other patrons not staying at hotel. Notified front desk about it and did not receive any help. Had to find our own parking. We had reservations for 5 days but moved the very next day to the Embassy Suites. Excellent hotel with great staff. Would definitely stay at Embassy Suites again.

The Ridge Hotel is not close to the slopes. The room did not have a fire place. No room service. The people next door were very loud and rude, hey if you don't mind waking up at 2am. to cursing, and fighting then by all means. It took thirty minutes to check in, and they ran out of tourist booklets. I would be embarrased to recommend Ridge Hotel, not worth your $$.

This place was okay. I was a little disappointed in that they didn't have any shampoo/conditioner or single coffees in the room (called front desk, said they don't offer that). I guess when I pay so much for a room I expect the little stuff. The bed was absolutely horrible, my wife and I didn't sleep well at all. I was also disappointed that we went in the off-season and there was virtually no one there, yet I got a room with a view of the shuffle board courts. All in all this is an okay place that was clean, but i expect more out of a hotel with the price I paid. Probably will look elsewhere next time in the South Tahoe area.

I loved this hotel. Beautiful location and the view was amazing! The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The only complaints I had during my stay were about the fact that the hotel didn't offer room service and there was only one vending machine per building, which was completely sold out. Otherwise I would absolutely recommend this hotel and I definitely plan on staying there again!!

We traded a time-share week to come visit Lake Tahoe in late September and choose The Ridge Tahoe. A little out of the way comfortably secluded resort nestled up in the mountains directly overlooking downtown South Lake Tahoe. You will not be seeing the lake from this resort perch but be sure to ask for a 'room w/ a view' if you can. During off season they should easily accomodate your request / who knows during ski season! The rooms are quite cozy for above average time-share needs. Clean and amply stocked w/ most modern day ammenities. The staff was very pleasant plus always accomodating to our needs. Only minor issue was the hike guide/rock climbing instructor who at times can come off a little brash (he point blank suggested to all the hikers to 'just go hike on your own' as if we were a bother to him and knew the mountains). Every activity was free + you can go use the hot springs spa ressort as complimentary guest located over the back side of the mountain! The restaurant was quite nice and upscale - my entree selection being well prepared and perfect. Shuttle busses were very comvenient to the town and back for free! If you have never been here before like me you should be pleasantly surprised and satisfied with your choice! Enjoy

The Ridge Tahoe is a very luxurious Hotel. The staff was nice and the room was really clean. We payed for a one bedroom condo and I feel as if I got more then I deserved for my money. The area was nice, up in the mountains, right next to heavenly. We did not eat at the restraunts but we did check them out and they looked nice. We mostly cooked in the room beacause it had a fully stocked kitchen. The room have a stunning fireplace, and the room was HUGE! They had underground parking and when you pull into ur parking space there are little trolly sort of things waiting for you so u can get ur luggage up all in one trip. They also moniter who comes in and out which is nice to! Only downfall was that there were A LOT of bears. We only stayed for 3 nights and saw a total of 6 bears. Iv been to Tahoe a million times and never seen one, so I was a little scared. Also somehow we happened to lock ourselves out of our bathroom of 2 doors aroound midnight. We called maintenance and they said they would have someone up to our room by 6am, which sucked,. Luckily we got the door open but no one ever came or called. Those are the only downfalls and it defenitly wasnt the hotels fault we locked ourselves out! All in all, i loved this place!

the ridge tahoe was somewhat comfortable, the room was very small for what they called a suit, the closet has about 8in.of hanger space two leather jackets and two leather chaps took up all the room their.the batheroom was nice adequate for 1 person to small for 2 you have 1 chair and 1 automen 1 small 10 to 12in round table with a lamp on it no suitcase stand 1 5 drawer dresser no table to eat on.all in all i would not recommend this place to anyone becouse of the size and the price of the room. the room was not worth but 1/3 the price we piad. we have stayed in much nicer and much bigger rooms (suits) for the price we paid.the restaurant was closed on friday and saturday only sandwiches were available and a store with cookable items but no place to cook in the room??? didnt get that one.....
