Here at The Red Hut Inn you are more than a guest. For our New Friends we will provide a quiet and comfortable room for a very reasonable price. We are situated only 6 miles from the airport in an up scale residential area and just a short walk to the ocean. There is large supermarket and several restaurants within walking distance. The hotel has a mini mart where we provide the basic necessities. We have large deck for relaxing and a BBQ grill guests can use if they wish. A kitchen is also available and a hammock and swing chairs. All the rooms come with private bath - air conditioning - sofa - coffee table - cable TV - hot and cold shower and wireless Internet access. We provide a pick up and drop off service to the international and local airports - water taxi terminals - as well as a laundry service. Fees apply.

It is a really nice little place. Its between a hotel and guesthouse. The longer you stays there the more you get to know the owners and the other guests, you feels like you are visiting friends. You make new friends there and to discuss where you have been and they show you where should go. But over all, it is a good choice to stay!

The managers were friendly for sure, as most Belizeans seem to be. But the hotel was far from downtown and there was nothing closeby where one can go to eat or buy groceries. The hotel provides taxi service to downtown for $5 one-way. It also provides transportation to and from the airport for $ 20 one-way. The owners did not make this clear offhand, and gave the impression that they had free shuttle service to and from the airport. The room was large but the service was non-existent. They do not change the linen nor bother to collect the garbage from the room each day.(This is important considering that the toilet paper you use to clean your butt does not go to the toilet bowl but to the garbage can.)The hotel provides shampoo and body lotion in a tiny plastic bag which appears to have been packaged by the cleaning lady.

I enjoyed myself on my trip and my stay at the Red Hut Inn. If quite time is what you want then this is the place to be. Resturants and supermarkets are within walking distance. However,the cost to get around Belize is expensive and once the hotel gets their transportation program up and running it would become cheaper for the guests. I would also suggest that The Red Hut Inn obtain space at the courtesy phone counter at the airport that will make them more accessible to customers that arrive and dont know anything about the travel options and rates for the transportation.
