our room was under the dinning room so in the morning if your a light sleeper you would be woken up with the staff walkin across the floor but it was a good alarm clock and we never missed breakfast, we thought havin the dvd player in our room was really good as we watched 2 each day really good idea. very pleasant staff and we had a very warm welcome from the owner we really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

The Ravensworth is excellent. We booked the break as a romantic joint birthday celebration and it did not disappoint. The guest house is perfectly situated 2 mins walk from Windermere were there are a number of good restuarants. Although the guest house is next to a road the double glazing ensures that you have a very peaceful nights sleep. The rooms had lovely extras such as dvd players, flat screen TVs and bathrobes. The service is really good and breakfasts are perfect. I would recommend the Ravensworth wholeheartedly to anyone.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was good and served in a pleasent setting. We booked the 'best' room in the hotel complete with 4 poster bed for a 3 night stay. The hotel described it as the best. The room was small. The TV only worked properly on one channel. Handles on the windows and wordrobes were hanging off. The hospitality tray was very poor and very small. The en-suite bathroom was beyond belief. It was very small with a fixed shower over the bath thatso poor it could hardly be described as a shower. The shower curtain was old, tatty and dirty. The grouting around the bath was filthy. The flooring was covered with old lino.We booked on line for a short honeymoon. We arrived to find 2 heart shaped chocolates on the towels and a quater bottle of fizzy in the ice cooler. We thank them for the chocolates and fizzy, but it will never compensate for the rest.

I arrived a bit earlier than expected but made very welcome by Heather, her Yorkies and a lovely cup of tea. The breakfasts were lovely and filling. I did expect to find black pudding on the menu. Being a London-living Lancastrian I do like a bit of black pudding with my breakfast. However the breakfasts were still excellent without it. My single room was small but just as I expected and everything was there for me and exceptionally clean and comfortable. I wasn't in my room too much anyway. The recommendation of Esthwaite Lake for fishing was a brilliant one and I hope to to return next year for more. I didn't even mind the rain.

A small hotel rather than a large B&B. Located at the top of Windemere village with good car parking. The village centre was less than 5 minutes walk away. I'd stay there again.

This is a very nice Hotel. The room was faultless, the staff were really nice and the breakfasts superb! Only recommendation I would make would be to have a little background music whilst having breakfast, the silence seemed a little awkward at times, but then again some people like the quiet atmosphere so suppose you cant please everyone! Food more than made up for it though!

The room was immaculate and spacious. The hotel staff were very friendly. The breakfast was fantastic. It is located within easy walking distance of Windermere and Bowness. There are a number of good restaurants nearby. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

Easy to find. Hotel very clean and comfortable. room excellent. Only thing we found that we didnt agree with were restaurant recommendations. the first one we went to that was recommended we had a disgusting meal. on our last day we ate at a restaurant not recommended, but which was the only one open and had a very nice meal which was reasonably priced
