| Close to the University of Auckland and the city centre, a one-bedroom suite came with a microwave, hot plates, fridge, dishwasher and washer/ dryer. This allowed me to make simple meals and wash my jeans when they got covered in mud on an excursion. The bathroom was small and cramped but the suppled toiletries were superior to those that you usually find in good hotels. The bell captain was very helpful when my baggage did not arrive with me. He took over phoning the airline until they finally delivered my bags to the hotel. In other cases service was poor. I asked repeatedly to get a bulb replaced in a light fixture and it never got done. Same story with the missing battery in the phone that I thought might hamper me getting messages (though this was probably not the case). Like most New Zealand hotels you pay for internet service and the Quadrant's charges were typical--NZ40 for 7 days access. However, a colleague got his conference paper printed up for free. There is a cafe bar that serve light meals and drinks--although I never tried it. In short, not a spectacular place to stay but a very acceptable one since theie rooms are often offered on discount. In fact, I got a free upgrade from a studio to a one-bedroom apartment. |

| The Quadrant was so kind to let us checkin the morning our cruise came in so we could rest a bit and leave our luggage behind as we explored the city. It's a nice walk (downhill) to the Skytower and downtown shopping and transportation options. It was in a safe area. It was a little difficult to find from the pier and like most of downtown was up the hill, which was a challenge dragging luggage. $30 NZD for cab to airport, which they helped arrange. We would highly recommend the Quadrant for a stay in Auckland. Great price! |

| The lobby seems to be always packed and the facilities for temporary parking while unloading luggage are limited. Staff was helpful (not a surprise in NZ) but handicapped by design of hotel. However, our stay was most satisfactory in spite of size of room and bathroom. We would return to this hotel. |

| The hotel was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is located outside the central area but the stop of the Hop On Hop Off is very close and we were happy to walk along the Singapore River to the centre of town. |

| This was an exceptional find - right in the centre of Auckland near to the Museum and the Uni. The service was extremely good and the views from the bedroom over the Harbour were awesome. I'll head straight there next time I am in Auckland! |

| I had booked a stay for myself and an overseas colleague in serviced rooms. The first day neither rooms were serviced. My room had a Burger King chip carton left in my room (not mine). My colleague had cleaning bottle and rag left in her room twice. Once on hob of stove, once in bathroom sink beside toothbrush - yuk! |

| Very good all round except we were in a room at the back overlooking the Hyatt Hotel delivery point - we were woke up early every morning which wasn't always welcome.
No air conditioning in our room which was also a pain as it was very warm at night during our stay.
Got a great rate though for the room so no complaints really/ |

| I stayed two nights in March 2008. Was not there much so can only comment on the room, which was clean and smart, but the aircon was not working, and the power points are in stupid locations. I questioned them on the aircon, they said it had not yet been installed in all rooms. That's not good. |

| The service was very poor, the room was not cleaned for 2 days! And that was only when I kicked and screamed about it!
The hotel is very stylish but due to lack of staff it just left a bad taste in my mouth. |
