Directions to Resort: As you exit airport on AHUKINI ROAD (570) go straight (West) after first traffic signal at intersection of AHUKINI ROAD (570) and KAPULE HIGHWAY (51) Continue for 1 mile. At second traffic signal at intersection of AHUKINI ROAD (570) and KUHIO HIGHWAY (56), turn left. Stay in far right lane. KUHIO HIGHWAY (56) merges into KAUMUALII HIGHWAY (50). Continue West for 6.6 miles. Look for signs to "KOLOA-POIPU". At intersection of KAUMUALII HIGHWAY (50) and MALUHIA ROAD (520), turn left into "TUNNEL OF TREES". Continue for 2.8 miles. At intersection of MALUHIA ROAD (520) and ALA KINOIKI (KOLO-POIPU BYPASS) ROAD, turn left. Continue for 2.7 miles. At intersection of ALA KINOIKI ROAD and POIPU ROAD, go straight to PE'E ROAD. Continue on PE'E ROAD for .3 mile to THE POINT AT POIPU on your left.Distance to Resort: 22 MilesTaxi Fare (One Way): $45 USD

This is the ultimate place to stay!! The staff is friendly and courteous, the condo is immaculate and clean and has all the amenities of being at home. The master bedroom bed was a little too firm for me, but it still beats any other place I have ever stayed. The sunrises in the morning are beautiful and breathtaking. Be sure to stop at Costco and pick up some groceries, it will definitely save you time and money since a lot of the restaurants in Poipu can be pricey and Lihue's restaurants close early, so you are better off cooking your meals. We didnt try the breakfast buffet at the Point, but the menu did look appetizing. There were 7 of us that stayed here, 4 adults and 3 children and we all loved it and plan to go back next year. The only downfall is no maid service, so we had to make our own beds and having a washer/dryer in the unit is awesome because we didnt have to go home with dirty laundry. Take the drive out to Kapaa and eat at Bubba's Burgers!!! They have the fastest, friendliest service in town, not to mention the best onion rings and burgers. We didnt get to swim in the pool or use the fitness facility but it still was an awesome weekend!!!! We got an awesome deal for the price and WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!

Point at Poipu has very nice condo units - some of the furniture is worn but still functional. Food is good at the grill and bar by the pool. Front desk staff seemed to go out of their way to be anything but helpful - they were rude. There is a $250 hold charge put on your credit card which is taken off at the end of your stay. Front desk screwed up and charged us $250 PLUS $550 PLUS $500. It was a pain in the butt working with them to get it corrected. Loved the room, the pool and the location. Did not like the customer service and will not go to the Point again because of bad customer service.

We had a two bedroom with a partial ocean view. The room was spotless and well equipped. The only thing missing was a corkscrew, but the front desk provided one within 5 minutes of our call. The pool was quite chilly, but we really appreciated the separate adults-only hot tub on the ocean side of the resort. I highly recommend the breakfast/orientation in the mornings. Very good food, and great advice on what to see while you are there.

Deceptive advertizing-Shipwreck beach appears to be part of the property. It is not. You need to walk to the Hyatt next door to get to it. Well organized outings. We did the kyacking on the river. Reasonably priced. Local eateries quite good. Local food store good but a little pricey. We had a rent-a-car. Without a car it would be impossible to get around. This is a time-share facility. We had a great room with two bdrms and two brms and a great balcony with a view. I would difinetly return and recommend to a friend.

We spent a week in a two-bedroom unit with my wife's sister and husband. Unit was spotless and comfortable. While most staff was outstanding, one woman at conceriege desk was quite rude. My only complaint is the pool water was quite cold. Almost uncomfortable. But since we were there for the beaches, that wasn't a huge issue. We're heading back in August and hope to get a unit with more of a water view, although ours was pretty nice water view. Beautiful sunrises. Loved hanging around the pool grill/ bar. The location of this place is outstanding also. Would definitely come back. And are.

This was rated as a 4 star all suite resort and it is every bit that and more. It's a fractional ownership facility that has a limited number of rooms available for non owners. It is very well maintained, the grounds are beautiful and you can't Poi Pu. Will stay here again in a heart beat!
