Transportation:
Driving to ravenglass from the South. Leave the M6 at J36, follow signs to Barrow in furness (A590), before reaching Barrow turn right at Greenodd onto the A5092 (sign posted Western Lake District, Workington Whitehaven) which linked to the A595. 7 miles north of Bootle, once you have passed the main gate and car park for Muncaster Castle look for the left turn to ravenglass in about half a mile. The journey from J36 will approximately take about one hour and a half.From the North. From Carlise follow the A595 for Cockermouth, then Whitehaven and Barrow in Furness. Pass through the village of Holmrook, contine straight ahead for appoximately 3 miles the turn right to Ravenglass. The journey from carlise should teke and hour an a half.
