The Peck House was a nice surprise. My wife and I were driving cross country and planned to stay in the Denver area. It was easy to find. Quite rustic. Beautiful view of the mountains. Lots of history. Be aware that the Peck House is located in the middle of a small town and not in a mountain meadow as suggested in the photos. And if you're not used to bed and breakfasts, it might seem a little creaky. But we had a great, relaxing stay and will definitely return.

I was very concerned after reading some of the reviews the Peck House had received. However, I was greatly releived when I arrived to find the Peck House a very well maintained historical Inn. I thought the decor very suitable to a bygone era. The handhewn railing, so warped and twisted made me feel as though I were back in time. The front porch was reminiscent of an era when people shared their stories with each other, not in books so much, and you could almost hear their boots walking on the planks. The veiw from the front porch was spectacular!! I understand why the first owners built there. I only wish they could have bought more of the land in front of the Inn. I was pleased with the deep, claw footed tub. I sank into hot sudsy water at the end of a hard day at skiing and relaxed. No TV, No Phones. Amazing!! Peaceful and quiet. Someone even had put Christmas lights on a lone tree out my bedroom window. Such a perfect nightlight.!!!!
